Maybe that will work, at least if the parents are wise enough to make the kids work to save up money to pay them.
Telling them "no" certainly has no effect.

Maybe the admins should look into that here, instead of bans, fine people for name calling or insults!

^That would make it easier to pay the server bills :D One fine for each infraction, on a ban you have to pay the months bill :p

Wisconsin tends to be full of socialist thoughts, as most northern states are. - (Except Montana for some odd reason.)

I think the reason is because people need each other to get through the winter(at least they used to until very recently).
- Part of the reason why Sweden is so socialist.

- - Water lines freeze up, people used to have to go out and spray them through the night - true story.
- - - When you need your neighbor to stay alive you get pretty socialist. - (Just my 2 cents)

Interesting thoughts, Rick. I am very collectivist minded, although I'm not for true socialism. I can definitely see collectivism being more necessary in the Northern areas.

So Jim, you are a collectivist and not a socialist?
- - How does that work politically?

I am liberty-minded, but I believe we should help others. Politically, I believe both parties to be corrupt, and I don't trust them with demorcacy, much less socialism. I still live by the Golden Rule for myself, however.

Yea, I'm a libertarian also.
I live in Texas, and when someone needs help, we just go and help them.
I've used the help of my neighbors more than once, but it is a rare occasion.
Neighbors; - God uses them.

Taxing is good.

Everything must be taxed.

Soon there will be a tax for all the people who turn to bullies and say,
"Hey, don't do that."

: )

If they did this in Washington DC the IRS, Congress, Senate and White House would be taxed out of business.

They really should do something about bullying because if it was adults instead of children they would be arrested for harrassment, assault, battery, making threats, etc... just because they are children doesn't make it any less cruel, in fact it is even worse because kids can't just quit school or move to a new neighborhood.

I am in favor of levying fines to help balance budgets in lieu of taxes, but this one seems like an odd one to pick. Although I definitely think it's unfair to let minors get away with things adults would be prosecuted for, as Zero said.

Remember we're talking about bullying, not calling someone poo poo head. Bullying is the continual, unrelenting, and physically harmful, demeaning cruel teasing that goes way beyond calling someone a poo poo head. It goes way beyond being able to tell a child to toughen up, take it like a man, don't be a sissy. Parents of bullies are usually bullies themselves. Or completely blind.

Just like a spank is not a beating. Big difference. And we all know where the line is drawn. Or we should.

My 2 cents being that I just graduated from High School....

This is a feel good law for the parents and so the 'officials' can say they did something with their terms...

In a public school this will do nothing... The bullied are afraid (I know from experience so don't say otherwise). And the bullies don't do it in front of authority...

Like homosexuals spitting on Christians or atheists ripping apart Bibles in front of Christians? Will the law apply to invasions of Churches by homosexual and atheist activists? What about some of the assaults we have seen of street preachers? A friend of mine was murdered by a non-white atheist while handing out Bible tracts in Hollywood. The murderer went around bragging to his friends he had "killed a white boy" and when it hit the news and his friends found out the guy was just a Christian handing out tracts they turned him in and he was captured, convicted, and sent off to prison to cost us taxpayers $55k a year.
