Most are familiar with the events that transpired at the Washington Naval Yard (well technically close to it). Suffice to say, a man who hears voices took a shotgun and blew away 12 Naval Officers.

Washington Navy Yard shooting - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

For those not in the know.

This post is primarily:

1. A call to prayer for the families of the victims and for those injured.

2. A question: what were your first thoughts when you heard about the massacre?

My first thought was oh God, here we go again, the media is never going to stop on this one, and I was partially right. Within minutes the media said the shooter used an AR-15 (because every crazy gunman uses one). I guess they may have jumped to the wrong conclusion there as it later came out it was a shotgun.

My next thought was this is the second time in recent years someone has gotten past the gate at a military facility and killed people in the United States (Fort Hood was the first). And if you count foreign soil, well oh boy that's a can of worms (Benghazi any one). Maybe we should divert some of that money we're spending on the TSA towards securing our nations embassies and military facilities as so far we've had several terror attempts that were not thwarted by the TSA, but by passengers on aircraft.

And lastly, my main thought was that we really need to do something about the mental health system in this country. We're definitely doing something wrong there. Then again that hasn't been well funded for years. Many of the homeless are mentally ill because the money dried up and they were forced onto the streets.

Then again some of this craziness may also be related to the dysmal job market. A lot of people who don't have a strong moral backbone will simply snap when you take away their means of providing for themselves.

My first though was to pray for the families. My second thought was cry out for revival and for the souls of men. Not to give up on this nation but fight for every soul like William booth did till very last breathe. Lord let us not become comfortably numb by the death of others but cry out for every last soul.

My initial thoughts of another shooting at a military base was...just more hatred and disrespect toward our soldiers.

I place the responsibility of that hatred on those who promote hatred of our soldiers.

Probe launched over claim that elite Capitol Police unit blocked from Navy Yard massacre

Published September 19, 2013FoxNews.com

The board that oversees the U.S. Capitol Police has opened an investigation into whether a tactical team of officers that was one of the first on the scene during the Washington Navy Yard shooting was ordered to stand down.

Several sources confirmed the probe to Fox News. The investigation follows reports that a highly trained and specialized Capitol Police team arrived soon after the shooting started, but was told by a supervisor to leave the scene.

The BBC, which first reported on the allegation, quoted a Capitol Police "source" as claiming "lives may have been saved" if the team could have intervened.

Navy Yard Shooter Carved ‘BETTER OFF THIS WAY’ And ‘MY E-L-F WEAPON’ Into Stock Of Gun

By COLLEEN CURRY and PIERRE THOMAS | Good Morning America – Wed, Sep 18, 2013 5:54 PM EDT

Navy Yard gunman Aaron Alexis carved the words "BETTER OFF THIS WAY" into the gun he used in his shooting rampage in Washington, .D.C, ABC News has learned.

He also carved the phrase "MY E-L-F WEAPON" onto the stock of the shotgun, sources said.
Investigators said they are examining the meaning of the phrases, including whether "better off this way" meant Alexis knew he would die in his killing spree.

Authorities are unsure about the significance of ELF but said it can mean "extremely low frequency" in some military and tech circles. There is some speculation about the term because of Alexis' rants about hearing voices and "vibrations sent to his body" by a " microwave machine," according to law enforcement sources.

Alexis told police in Newport, R.I., in August that he heard voices that were trying to send vibrations into his body at a hotel in Newport.

Clyde Lewis: Many Untold Anomalies to Aaron Alexis' Story

Aaron Alexis
September 18, 2013, 12:49 pm
By James Pilato
Producer, "Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis"

America woke up this week to another mass shooting event, this time at a Naval ship yard in Washington D.C

And while the mainstream media will focus on the gun control angle, KXL's Clyde Lewis says there are many untold anomalies to the story of Aaron Alexis.

"When I first heard about the shootings, I was trying to find information from a ton of news websites - including those from outside the United States," Clyde Lewis said. "A Canadian website called The Daily Courier had the story of the shootings as being published on 11:31PM, September 15th - not the 16th when it really happened."

The Daily Courier has since adjusted the date on the post to reflect the actual time of the shootings.

But Lewis says that that's just the beginning.

The Associated Press reported: "A month before he went on the rampage that left 13 dead, Washington Navy Yard gunman Aaron Alexis complained to police in Rhode Island that people were talking to him through the walls and ceilings of his hotel rooms and sending microwave vibrations into his body to prevent him from sleeping."

Clyde Lewis asks if this is could be consistent with other so-called 'gang stalking' or 'electronic harassment' stories, saying that Aaron Alexis may be a "patsy… where planted disinformation is created to distract from the frightening reality of gang stalking and harassment from rogue agents - or worse."

It's also being reported that Aaron Alexis was a military contractor and computer specialist that worked on the Navy's intranet - and was even on a team called 'The Experts'. On a day that saw the release of the new 'Grand Theft Auto' video game, it's important to note that Alexis was said to have been an avid fan of first-person shooter games like 'Call of Duty' and 'Resident Evil' and could play them for over a dozen hours a day.

Another strange element is the poem that was allegedly posted to Aaron Alexis' alleged Facebook page hours after the shootings. Among the rhymes about "Ancient sailors of space and time," Alexis makes explicit reference to the notorious Heaven's Gate suicides:

"Remember March 24, 25 and 26th.
In the year of 1997
The away team left and went to heaven.
Another world they saw, they live in in awe but they will return to save us all.
And thus is my story, of fame and glory
My testimony is my word and all I have
For today I joined the Away team."

However, a Facebook feature lets users schedule posts for later, which Lewis says, "would give someone like Aaron Alexis a way to post something posthumously - as the poem indicates Aaron allegedly knew his fate."

Clyde Lewis goes even further by noting that, "It is quite coincidental that the Heaven's Gate cult leader Marshall Applewhite also started to hear voices telling him that he was Jesus and so he organized his cult - with many of the members being computer experts. In fact, a few of them were under contract with military intelligence operations. Three members of the Heaven’s Gate 'away team' worked for the Advanced Development Group, a company that developed computer-based instruction for the US Army."

Was Alexis looking forward to the arrival of Comet ISON like the Heaven's Gate cult was awaiting the Comet Hale-Bopp?

Clyde Lewis closes by saying that this "'cosmic suicide trope' will be buried in nonsensical hogwash about gun control and whether or not Aaron Alexis stopped being a Buddhist and decided to become a Muslim."

Why did he do it? Unanswered questions about the Washington Navy Yard rampage

By M. Alex Johnson, Staff Writer, NBC News

Many questions about Monday's shooting deaths of 12 people at the Washington Navy Yard remain unanswered and with the main suspect among the dead, some of the specifics may never be nailed down.

After using a fingerprint to identify him, authorities said the gunman was Aaron Alexis, 34, a former naval petty officer. Initially authorities said they were actively seeking a possible second suspect: a 50-year-old black man with a rifle, wearing an olive drab military uniform, but then late Monday they said they were no longer looking for that individual. A third man who was initially a person of interest was eventually cleared.

Navy Yard Gunman: Stalked, Tortured, Induced To Kill

Background
On September 16, 2013, former Navy reservist Aaron Alexis shot and killed twelve people and injured several others at the Washington Naval Yard in Washington D.C.

[video=youtube;SLKw4ujcRMw]http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=SLKw4ujcRMw[/video]

Alexis entered the Navy in 2007 and was honorably discharged in early 2011. He worked as a naval contractor from September 2012 to January 2013. After completing that job successfully, he was hired by the same contractor in July 2013 for a new contract.

In February 2011, according to the VA, Alexis enrolled in VA health care and in December was granted disability for orthopedic issues.[ii] Later, in 2012, his disability rating was increased due to persistent ringing in his ears.[iii]

...

Also in 2011, Alexis moved in with his friend Nutpisit Suthamtewakul, whom he had met at a Buddhist temple.

Two years later, in July 2013, Mr. Suthamtewakul and his new wife Kristi told Alexis that it was time that he find a new place to live.

On July 5, while Alexis was apparently still residing with the Suthamtewakuls, Mr. Suthamtewakul’s car would not run, and he discovered that someone had put sugar in the gas tank.

Because Alexis had access to the garage, the Suthamtewakuls initially wondered if he had sabotaged their car.

Subsequently, however, they began to question their initial suspicion.[iv]

On August 7, 2013, while staying in a hotel in Newport, Rhode Island, Alexis reported an incident to the police. He told the responding officer that he believed that three people were following him and keeping him awake “by talking to him and sending vibrations into his body.”[v] Alexis first heard the voices while staying at the Residence Inn in Middletown. Trying to escape, Alexis moved to a hotel on the Navy base, but “heard the same voices talking to him through the walls, floor and ceiling.” The police report continues:

Alexis stated that he moved to his third hotel and is currently at the Marriott. Alexis first said that the 3 individuals were speaking to him through the floor. Then Alexis stated that the voices were coming through the ceiling. Alexis stated that the individuals are using “some sort of microwave machine” to send vibrations through the ceiling, penetrating his body so he cannot fall asleep. When I asked Alexis what the individuals were saying to him he would not elaborate.

[video=youtube;CaMonYzPO0c]http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=CaMonYzPO0c[/video]

Alexis stated that he has never felt anything like this and is worried that these individuals are going to harm him. Alexis stated that he does not have a history of mental illness in his family and that he has never had any sortof mental episode.[vi]

The report then states that “ased on the Naval Base implications and the claim that the involved subject was ‘hearing voices’ I made contact with on duty Naval Station police….”[vii]

On August 23 Alexis went to the emergency room at the VA Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island complaining of insomnia. He was prescribed medication to help him sleep.[viii]

On August 28, he visited the emergency room at the VA Medical Center in Washington, D.C. and was given a refill of his medication.[ix]

Contrary to what he had told the Police Officer on August 5, he now attributed his insomnia to his heavy “work schedule,”[x] not vibrations or voices. Perhaps this is unsurprising given the police response to his plight, which seems to have focused on Alexis’s mental health rather than the possible legitimacy of his complaint. This suspicion of Alexis is summed up in a later statement by the officer: “What he was claiming didn’t sound right,” he said.[xi] Given this response, it is perhaps unsurprising that Alexis did not call police again.[xii]

By September, Alexis was staying at a hotel in Washington, D.C. On September 16, Alexis entered the Navy Yard using an access card, and embarked upon the tragic events of that day.[xiii]

Character Assassination And Talking Points

Most descriptions of Alexis and what might have caused the shooting spree have not deviated from expectation, which is to say, most have relied heavily on character assassination and obfuscation.

For example, the British tabloid the Daily Mirror proclaimed in a headline that “Washington Navy Yard gunman Aaron Alexis heard ‘voices in head’ after playing violent video games up to 18 hours a day, and that “twisted Alexis” enjoyed playing the video game Call Of Duty, which triggered his “dark side.”[xiv] The Washington Times quoted his friend Nutpisit Suthamtewakul as saying Alexis had been a “hardcore drinker,” [xv] while USA Today located a “subtle paranoia” in Alexis, noting that he would sometimes “become withdrawn and quiet.”[xvi] CBS News had Alexis “grappling with paranoia,” [xvii] while NBC News stated that Alexis had been “deteriorating” after an apparent “history of psychological problems.” [xviii] And an anonymous “official” told the L.A. Times that Alexis “was a loner” who even “told people he was crazy.”[xix]

Report: Superiors told Capitol Police SWAT team to stand down during Navy Yard massacre?

POSTED AT 6:01 PM ON SEPTEMBER 18, 2013

I thought the biggest scandal to come from the shooting today would be the fact that the Pentagon didn’t run a full background check on this guy when he was re-hired as a contractor in July. All they did, which is apparently standard practice, was check to make sure his security clearance from 2007 was still intact. No interviews with family members, co-workers, or employers; if there had been, maybe someone would have tipped them to the fact of his mental problems.

But no, that’s not the biggest scandal if this BBC report is right. This … can’t possibly be true, can it?

Multiple sources in the Capitol Police department have told the BBC that its highly trained and heavily armed four-man Containment and Emergency Response Team (Cert) was near the Navy Yard when the initial report of an active shooter came in about 8:20 local time.

The officers, wearing full tactical gear and armed with HK-416 assault weapons, arrived outside Building 197 a few minutes later, an official with knowledge of the incident told the BBC.

According to a Capitol Police source, an officer with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), Washington DC’s main municipal force, told the Capitol Cert officers they were the only police on the site equipped with long guns and requested their help stopping the gunman.

When the Capitol Police team radioed their superiors, they were told by a watch commander to leave the scene, the BBC was told.

Navy Yard: Swat team 'stood down' at mass shooting scene

By Debbie Siegelbaum

BBC News, Washington

One of the first teams of heavily armed police to respond to Monday's shooting in Washington DC was ordered to stand down by superiors, the BBC can reveal.

A tactical response team of the Capitol Police, a force that guards the US Capitol complex, was told to leave the scene by a supervisor instead of aiding municipal officers.

The Capitol Police department has launched a review into the matter.

Aaron Alexis, 34, killed 12 people at the Washington Navy Yard.

"I don't think it's a far stretch to say that some lives may have been saved if we were allowed to intervene," a Capitol Police source familiar with the incident told the BBC...

'A different outcome'

According to a Capitol Police source, an officer with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), Washington DC's main municipal force, told the Capitol Cert officers they were the only police on the site equipped with long guns and requested their help stopping the gunman.

When the Capitol Police team radioed their superiors, they were told by a watch commander to leave the scene, the BBC was told.

THEORY: (will follow up)

...

U.S. military police were targeted and killed by Obama in the Washington DC Navy Yard shooting. Why? Agents from the U.S. military’s criminal investigation units had uncovered a plot to detonate a nuclear device in the heart of the nation’s capitol as part of an Obama government false flag. Officials from NCIS (United States Naval Criminal Investigative Service) and the U.S. Office of the Provost (both with field offices inside the Washington DC Navy Yard) had threatened to arrest Obama for planning to attack Syria without Congressional approval following a planned nuclear detonation false flag in Washington DC. The Office of the Provost is on the second floor of Building 34, One First Avenue, Charlestown Navy Yard and NCIS is located at 716 SICARD STREET SE, SUITE 2000, WASHINGTON NAVY YARD, DC.

Okay, there are conspiracy theories and conspiracy hypotheses (i.e. not really any evidence, but an interesting story all the same). The link is to one of what I would describe as the latter. I like it, because instead of presenting this event as just another false flag, it puts a spin on it that maybe these were legitimate good guys trying to save their country from the Kenyan in office, and murdered in the line of duty. Sure, such a tactic could be a clever emotional ploy to make paranoid types such as I believe there is still some goodness left in the empire, but as I say, I still am undecided on whether this was just another false flag, or whether these guys actually were trying to impeach the usurper (not that impeaching Obama would really help in my view, he's just a different puppet to George Jr., and George Sr., probably all the way back to Kennedy).
