I am a Liberty University (online) student but I don't live too far from the campus. It is absolutely unreal and I never would have imagined this happening at LU... My prayers are with those affected.

It shows darkness can lurk anywhere even places dedicated by God's work. This while are always call to stand guide against the devices of our enemy. May the Lord bring comfort and Strength to those on campus affected by this tragedy.

I'm not surprised at all. It's a southern/independent baptist university.

What does that have to do with anything?

And reading through this, it sounds like the man who was shot was an unarmed student by campus security. Furthermore, the altercation took place in an all female dorm, a location he was not allowed to be in.

There was no firearm involved, as if there had been, it would be plastered everywhere to support the campus police by justifying the use of lethal force.

For once, this isn't about gun violence in schools. It seems to be more about a hot head who got into an argument with a security guard and lost. The better question is why did campus police believe that a lethal option was the best option.

What Jimmy said was a joke. Maybe too soon, but I thought his lampooning amusing.

The police officer was attacked with a sledgehammer and had to be sent to the hospital due to the injuries. That's according to an LU mobile update I cannot link to this website.

I am a student at LU (hence the mobile update) in my final semester of undergrad (woot woot). Thank you all for your prayers. I can tell they are at work because, really, the atmosphere is calm. It's like any other day.

I wasn't really going for the lampooning, but I think that's a fair point. After all, what else would you expect from religious right wing gun hugging nuts? They probably got in a fight over who was dating clementine, their first cousin.

Yep, yep. There was bluegrass playing in the background while it all transpired.

Not just any kind of bluegrass, but bluegrass Gospel. Unsurprisingly there was only white people. The hotel consists of trailer houses parked close enough the walls of the houses form the hallways.

Don't forget, the project is sponsored by Nascar and Grizzly tobacco products.

Jerry Falwell Jr.? Is that nepotism, or did he "deserve" the position?

So the student who was shot had already graduated? With a 4.57 GPA. Please explain what this is. In Canada, an A is 4.00 and in some universities an A+ is 4.33. (My daughter says that is an overinflated GPA, but it worked for me for my undergrad! But not for my MDiv!) Or was it supposed to say 3.57?

How does a student who has graduated remain a student? Or was he in a graduate program? Just a bit puzzled.

You've obviously been at LU drinking moonshine.

Jimmy, while you may have a very dry sense of humor, this is really inappropriate. If you really mean what you are saying in these posts, you are a narrow minded, bigoted individual. What you are doing is no different than racism, and that is very sad. I will pray for you.

I'm just waiting for a certain someone to show up and declare that if we don't want the officer thrown in jail for killing a teenager, we're in favor of murder.

Get's accused of a dry sense of humor, and racism, and bigotry, and narrow minded-ness, and prayed for (since obviously this means you're not saved)yet ritter gets off the hook. #Storyofmylife
