SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) - Police said a Spartanburg pizza delivery man trying to drop off an order was almost robbed of his pies by a teen, but just laughed the would-be robber off and pushed him out of his way.

Spartanburg police said they were called to the Woodland apartment complex on South Pine Lake Drive on Saturday about 4:30 p.m. about an attempted robbery.
Police spoke with the victim, who said he was there delivering pizzas for Domino's but when he went to the door of the apartment for the order, no one answered.
The victim then heard a voice from the bottom of the stairs and the person said, "This is a stickup for those pizzas," according to the police report.

The delivery man questioned him, turned around and saw the suspect who looked to be between 14 and 16 years old, police said. The teen reportedly said again, "This is a stickup, now give me those pizzas."

The victim laughed at the boy and walked away from him, police said. When he asked for the pizzas a third time, police said the victim just pushed passed the boy and went to his car where he called officers.

The teen ran off and was not located by police. According to the report, the boy never showed a weapon or acted like he had one.
The report did not state if the victim located the person who placed the pizza order or not.

Funny enough, I know someone who had the same thing happen to him early last year, only it was several young men who demanded the pizzas and his cash. There's a reason why they don't deliver pizza in the hood late at night. He did give it all up.

In any case, it made for a good story at the open mic night I like to attend.

In other related news, nothing happened to some person in an obscure part of the world. So there's nothing to be worried about! But we're still reporting on it for no reason.
