Well you can see how its going, all the corrupt theology and spiritually dead mega churches making Christianity a religion and something nice to do will end up taking over and as they do not even preach Christs death and resurrection, then it makes it alright to co-exist with Islam.

The genuine born again Christians will be so far off this new age mainstream version of Christianity that they will be classed as extremists and treated as dangerous elements of society.

Christians are already on the backfoot over homosexuality.

This is the pet peeve thread on what you think is wrong with everyone else's church?

Persecution will just separate the goats from the sheep.

You can have different doctrines and not be apostate.

Is Jesus Christ preached in your church and are there fruits and changed lives there?

Ok, pet peeve time.....meologies. Is your church all about worshiping God, or self?

The death of Christianity is occuring all over the world. In some countries today you will be put 'to the sword' for proclaiming you're a Christian. How long will it be before we here in America are 'put to the sword' for proclaiming to be Christian?

The Lord will call His Church home before we see it here. It is more of a political issue than a religious one. It is the Democrats & supporters who are willing to open the "Pandora Box" to " free for all" behavior, and allowing Christians to be harassed. The score will be settled when they will have to deal with the Tribulation Period for their bad choices. We need to be patient my friend.

[h=1]John 15:18-20King James Version (KJV)[/h][SUP]18 [/SUP]If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

We are a long way off from what I describe, its more than just a difference in theology, but we are seeing starts of what has to happen, look at how many so called Christians think that anyone can get into heaven and that Jesus is just one way, we are not talking about difference in end time prophecy or if its ok to baptise babies, it is the core principle and beleif as to what makes a Christian.

The Christiains who will preach only way to heaven is through Christ will be dangerous extremists.

this is the problem i have with the church. we are all humans and sinners. which makes everyone equal because no sin is worse than another. if this is the case why are we stepping on the rights of others saying "my religion says this so you cant do this and we are going to do whatever we can to stop it" that makes these people inferior and sub human in the eyes of the church. everyone deserves to have the same rights as others. we cant expect to repress others and not get persecuted for it. its like the bully on the play ground picking on the little kid and when he finally gets tired of it and stands up to him the bully goes to the principal and says he is being picked on. why are we doing this we cant force our belliefs down the throat of others. its not our place or right to do it. you wouldent want someone doing to you. also there are better ways to get to sinners than going up to them and saying"you sin or are a sinner and if you dont change your ways your going to hell" calling someone else a sinner or telling them they sin is like the pot calling the kettle black its hypocritical we are using controversial topics to cover up the real things we need to be doing jesus commanded us to take care of the elderly and the widow feed the poor clothe the homless" he speaks more about following him and doing the will of the father and to love our neighbors as our selfs than he does sin and hell. we need to treat people better than we do. i simply follow christ and call my sefl a follower of christ as opposed to calling my self a christian because i am distancing my self from the religion of christianity. btw religion is mans attempt to get to god as opposed to being a follower of christ where god tries to gwt to man. leave a bible in a place where sinners congregate with the right verses highlight and leave a note saying to read the highlited verses if we gain a brother like that then its great if we dont then its between them and god
not us and them because there is only one fair judge and its not us and yes i have been saved and baptized

Matthew 24:10-13

And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Jesus warned us of this.

He warned is of false prophets who would claim to speak for him, performing signs and wonders to deceive even the elect. And in a world where that has happened and those false teachers have led countless souls astray we arrive in this age. Because the fruits are ripening from those deceitful plantings.

While those who hearken unto the Holy Spirit within, that guides as that comforter Jesus sent, having forewarned us and left us to obey his words only, are in minority. And yet blessed.

All is as God wills. Be not afraid. The Lord is with us. This world is transitory. It is a classroom that affords us the opportunity to witness the truth of our master's ministering from his own lips as an eternal all knowing spirit, what would occur in future here. And after he equipped us with the tools to face it and endure, having predestined our lives before his creation of the foundation of this world.

Be not afraid.

We read scriptures that forewarn of the end times. Armageddon. The chaining of the evil one for 1000 years. Now we are, if we pay attention, witness to those occurrences as the end approaches.

All things foretold unfold before our eyes.

Do you have anything against what the apostles proclaimed in the Book of Acts when they told people about the resurrrection of Jesus and that God commands everybody now to repent and turn to Christ for the remission of their sins?

Philippians 1:14-18 And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:
The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

i have nothung against that i have something against people who are too harsh with condemnation instead of doing it with love
like i said the bible can be a more powerful witnessing tool than just telling someone that their sinning ive seen many non christian turn away from the church and never once set foot in them again. because the preacher goes on and on about sin and condemnation and not about love. there is a reason why the church is soa hated today and it has more to do with condemnation of the sinners than it does with biblical prophecy. yes the world is goin g to hate us because it says so in the bible we dont have to continually go agains the grain on every single issue. we are called to be exrraordianay people not holier than thou and condemning extraordianry because of love " jesus said love your neighbor as yourself by this people wi.ll know your mine

[h=3]1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. [/h]I think we as those who follow the teaching, the leading, of Christ Jesus will always be tested. Jesus warned us of false teachers who would come after him, performing signs and wonders and claiming to have seen Jesus after he departed to the Father. Jesus said do not believe them.

In a world where it appears the evil is growing daily as we watch the local news and/or the international coverage of so much carnage occurring in the middle east and elsewhere, it is easy to wonder when is God going to act? While the comforter Jesus promised to send us whispers from within every believer in Christ so that we know we are not to be afraid.

It is all happening as God wills. False faiths, teachers, prophets, helped to create this world we live in now. We know them by their fruits. Jesus departed, after anointing his chosen apostles with his own hand, leaving his message, the good news, behind and entrusted to them. So that they may deliver the sermons that shall set us free. And gird our resolve to withstand what is happening now, as we bear the armor of God against the trials and travails that plague the world.

The world Jesus sees and knew before it was born.
Meanwhile, we are witness to disciples of the enemy when they spew hatred toward the people of Christ and attack them for ascribing to the word of our Lord and no other.

Proverbs 3:32 for the devious person is an abomination to the LORD, but the upright are in his confidence.

We should know the sheep who are Christ's and beware the goats. Christ like. That is the standard our Lord's teachings put forth that we live the teachings of Jesus himself as examples of its eternal truth.

That may be a problem somewhere, but living here in California I rarely see or hear condemning type preaching. If anything we have the opposite ...syruppy sermons, bending and compromising for gaining favor with the wealthy, Church growth tactics and techniques in exchange for the uncompromising Word of the Cross and social programs where deeds abound but Christ's name is seldom heard.

Just a thought.... is Christianity in America being killed softly already? Instead of persecution, it's false doctrine & apathy.

False Doctrine, apostate churches, and apathy in congregants who remain in the pews despite that, as well as remain apathetic over all.

Persecution is there too. The girl that was recently in the news having suffered an, in-school suspension, due to her having initially said a forbidden word per rules of the class set by her teacher; "Bless you!" , when a fellow student sneezed.

The boy who was suspended for reading a Bible during a free reading time in class.
Mrs.Thomas, His teacher was so sure of herself that she thought to shame him in front of his classmates. Picking up the phone on her desk she telephoned his home and left a message for his parents on their answering system. (Audio link included in the article link)

Just a few of the many examples that have arrived in the media lately where Christians are under attack in America. Though some think it is not persecution because we're not being shot, or beheaded.

In matters of public school, I think it occurs because teachers are poorly trained in matters of religious rights and the law. Or, the atheists among them think they can exploit a child's respect for authority by intimidating them out of their faith through invocation of a teachers personal rules in his/her classroom.
