So, I stood at the grave.
My eyes faltered,
And I was torn to the sky.
Waving signs of life,
The world escapes below.
Fear and trembling,
Reigning in my heart.
As I sink and feel earth,
Looking down the hole,
It lurches inside of me.
Falling to my knees,
My face dropping into my hands.
And I breathe out a prayer,
For life to escape again.
Headstones surround me,
Hands lifted from open graves.
Digging down to their death,
Awaiting the seed that follows.
And I tear, and I clench,
My hands fall to nothing,
And I am dealt useless.
My body torn away into the sky,
Blistering skin against freezing wind.
"Find me again!"
And my heart bursts with passion,
The need I feel can only be...
Standing again, next to my open grave,
My eyes falter down,
Sinking into its depths.
I cannot fall again,
I cannot fail in this.
I breathe a prayer in the wind,
Staring at my headstone.
Will I walk away...
"Find me again."
Must I walk away...
"Find me again."
Can I walk away...
My eyes faltered,
And I was torn to the sky.
Waving signs of life,
The world escapes below.
Fear and trembling,
Reigning in my heart.
As I sink and feel earth,
Looking down the hole,
It lurches inside of me.
Falling to my knees,
My face dropping into my hands.
And I breathe out a prayer,
For life to escape again.
Headstones surround me,

Digging down to their death,
Awaiting the seed that follows.

And I am dealt useless.

Staring at my headstone.
