My heart beats loudly
Sometimes in pain or in love
Wait on God's rhythm

When in deep thought I
Ponder anew what God can
Change in my heart now

No problem. That was my first attempt at Haiku. It was a exposee on the vain temporalness I find with traditional Haiku.
But now I'm having fun reading these. :)

I had heard of haiku but had never tried it until today....I googled to find out what it was and then started playing with it and had fun actually.... These are my first attempts also.....Thanks for the challenge crossnote....Almost as fun as the catherder dare thread....that had me causing mayhem in several forums wondering if I'd get banned or not....lol This haiku thread was a safer place to give me a challenge...thanks again.....You are helping me keep my brain young and maybe I will still remember who I am in a few years.....lol Blonds love challenges....

It is fun. I used to write some haiku but that was long ago.
It really is an interesting genre. Even more important than the form, the point of haiku is to make a picture, a detail that will talk about the big picture. Microcosmos speaking about macrocosmos. And it gets so real, because also with God the small parts testify about and are made after the image of the great.
Thank you for this thread, crossnote.
