Could this focus on "choice" rather than on the danger and its remedy, actually be deception?
Do you think that immutable universal laws are diffrent than conditional choices.
Both apply to and address your different concerns.

So what is your answer to my question?
I'm going to answer you the best way I can, then I'm out, ok.

Gravity will not inflict endless misery and pain on people if they choose not to obey it's laws
.
Oh. . .try stepping off the roof of a tall building.

Is that your answer to my bolded question above?

So you choose not to answer the question, right?

I'm kinda' disappointed. . .because you have been so honest with me to this point.

That God doesn't "fix" whatever it is you want him to fix proves nothing.

There are believers with MS, for example, whom God doesn't "fix,"
but they don't apostasize because of it.

If you've been falsely taught that God will answer all prayer the way we want it answered,
you have been given false doctrine.

That is no reason to abandon God, that is reason only to abandon your false teachers.

Do you think we can talk about something else, because I don't want to talk about this topic anymore.

I understand.

I'm just so sad for you.

What could we talk about?

The evils I see in the world are the blatant immoralities inviting a righteous judgment and punishment. Not sure how you came to the conclusion that actual evil is fine but the righteous judgment and punishment of it is what's really evil as that's a fallacious position to take.

There are two know evils That are destroying the world I live in The first one is judgment And the second one is punishment But only one is after the fact People teach their children to fear these evils Then the children grow up to teach their children And the cycle of evil is complete And the world becomes trapped in fear Of being judged Of being punished.

Thank you, Elin, for showing understanding and kindness to stabbo. So many are unneceassarily harsh. Good job, Sister, that's one way people are drawn to God, seeing His love thru His children.;)

Why you feel sad for me.
Well, anyone who is traumatized simply by reading the Bible, appears to me to have a tender heart,
hungry for and receptive to the gospel of God's mercy and forgiveness for those who believe,
trust and obey Jesus of Nazareth as their Savior from God's rightwise justice on sin--no different
than our justice system's punishment of crime.

I suspect you don't want to live in a society where there is no justice, nor punishment for burglary,
rape, murder, etc.
And it's no different with God, who is the Author of justice and rightness.

I'm concerned that this tender heart is victim to false teaching.

So what would help me here is if you shared how you became a Christian and baptized.

how did one guy put it?

if you don't want a God who tolerates evil, you have to have a wrathful judge.
if you don't want a wrathful judge, you have a God who tolerates evil.

but that same Judge, who justly makes all the demands, met those demands in the Person of Jesus.
and the Gospel is available to all---free! :)
