"The Darkness"

Every so often I wonder
Why the enemy likes tormenting me.
I sit and ponder,
Why Jesus died for me.

The enemy whispers,
"You're not worth saving".
But Jesus declares,
"You are worth having."

In the end, I know who will win,
it will be the righteous one,
and not the serpent tempting me to sin.

I will live in glorious splendor,
while the enemy burns far down.
He is nothing but an evil vendor
being sent back forever to his part of town.

:)

Ah, dear sister,

My worth had nothing to do with it then, and my "worth" has nothing to do with it now.

I had no worth then but as God's enemy, and I have no worth now but as an earthen vessel
which is the receptacle of God's glorious grace.

To God be the glory.
