Fact and Truth

Lord, give me an obedient heart. There is so much rebellion still in me. One day I really do okay. The next day I'm a failure. Sometimes I feel so miserable. I thought I loved you Lord, just like today. It seems to me that all my love went fast fast down the drain.
But are the feelings really truth? Of course it can't be that. The Word Of God gives us the facts : In Jesus we are perfect.

when Jesus calls to us and we answer, we become His work in progress -
striving only to please and serve Him through honor and obedience -
perfection is our goal, when we fail, our failures become our catalyst,
pulling and tugging us to become everything that will please Him.

after a while, we will see our progress coming in slow stages, and
this will give us new strength to go on and overcome what we must,
one step at a time.

for a true Christian, new or old, we must witness in ourselves the evidence
of a 'new-life' birthing apart from the 'old-life' that becomes so very abhorrent
to us that nothing can stop our desire to please our Holy Father.

and it is written in the NT - 'be ye perfect, even as your Father in heaven in perfect'.
