We're at war
and we don't even know
that our land is now broke in two
with different languages
and different customs
invented by our egostitical minds

Different flags
different ways of selfishness
to prove ourselves
we haven't grown at all

So different
that I wonder why
when did we began to separate
when did we start to play
the king and queen again
inmersed in our tiny chess world
threatening ourselves ten thousand times
to then realize that we began all this rebellion

So different
what an ugly conclusion
that throw to the dirt all the wedding words
that we repeated long ago
We built castles with keeps
to nurture our pride and indifference
thinking we are right
in our stupidity

Different flags we put
different colors and coat of arms
in a marriage that used to defend unity
God help us in this issue
and make us talk like adults
and get rid of our kindergarten skills

We're at war
and we try to create
new strongholds to feel ourselves secure
putting our Bible like a lottery ticket
to act like a cheap overseer in a tent

Different flags
diffrent little weak kingdoms
although we know our end will be cruel
we still play this game of thrones
with no remorse

So different
that we play well our part
drawing borders that
weaken our vows everyday
Crossing lines like wanderers
to then weep like willows every night
We're at war
and we never talk about peace
much less talk about healing our deep wounds

Different flags
Different cities
different towns
in our brains

Different flags
we put in front of us
to build hate
to build loneliness

How naive we were
All we do is playing our little show
But at the end is God
the one we are hurting the most
