Josh was so young
He didn't even know
So he only molested girls through their clothes
Jim Bob and his wife must've been in a stupor
So they sent Josh to speak to a pedophile trooper

His sisters were confused and too young to say NO
As their brother felt them through their little night clothes
I'm sure no Duggar thought it was funny
But with all those kids they needed TLC's money

Who are we to blame, to cast the first stone
Josh and his family should be left well alone
He was just a kid, this happens all the time
And other kids don't get accused of these disgusting sex crimes

Once again I pray for Josh and his family
And hope they can continue on TLC

and, btw, they sought and got him/them into 'treatment'.

yes, far worse happens inside rcc and other 'churches' by the priests and pastors,
and far worse happens by doctors (md's and sickologists).
and far worse happens by police/ authorities....

this has been known in the open for centuries.

this doesn't 'excuse' someone, but this surely was a molehill made into a mountain, illegally.

wow its amazing what some christians will justify and shove under a rug just because there is some tv show witha christian family on it no matter how cult-like the quiverful movement might be.

Josh Duggar knew what he was doing. He knew it was inappropriate to touch his sisters, even if through their clothing. He even admitted to his parents he was curious about it. Cmon!! A person can be a pedophile, no matter what age they are.. He needs alot more than therapy, IMO.. And having 19 kids is ridiculous, for one, and for two, going on TV to garner a lucrative $$$$ deal is just selfish. If you cant afford to feed and clothe 19 kids, then don't lay there and CREATE 19 kids. :/ Jimbob and Michelle Duggar BOTH need to be spayed and neutered. jmo.

This poem is in very poor taste.

Yes. There is grace, but we must remember while Jesus deals with the sin, the law must deal with the person. There are consequences. It's so disturbing and unhealthy that many Christians want to sweep this all under a rug and say, forgive, forgive! That's evil. Evil! And a load of bollocks. Read your Bible again before downplaying sin as sin and cheapening grace and spitting in the faces of the 'victims'. Not cool!

OK....who gave permission for their personal lives to be fully exposed, cameras to be in their home and always following them around wherever they go? AND now someone outside of the family says "Josh and his family should be left alone." Such are the consequences when the agreement was first drawn up between the Duggers and the TV reality show and it's sponsors. I have yet to find the perfect family..even in the WHITE HOUSE. Who would have thought that a certain president would find a new way to enjoy a cigar in his office without lighting it up? The Duggers need no defending from outsiders at all. I pity them..I love their devotion to GOD and that is what is important...GOD certainly forgives. It's not up to us to sit back and begin to speculate, comment and offer up our unasked opinions..next month..someone else will be in the limelight.

What was once a blip in the newspaper,
We read and soon forgot.
Is now “in your face” news breaks,
On the air waves at CNN and FOX.
All those scenes of violence,
We now are digesting 24/7.
So why not pick on a repentantly sinner,
Lets destroy a family’s life.
The Devil deals the cards now,
And man’s heart continues to grow colder. .

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. 2 Timothy 3: 1-5

I am not saying what was done was right... but he was a child when this happened and his parents, his family dealt with it... it was given to the press for its entertainment value, its cash value... that's the sad part of the whole thing... he and his family get to "relive" a personal family tragedy day after day in the media... the victims they too get to relive the event... Ashamed to go out in public due to all the whispers and pointing finger of the public... these are young women...can't you stand in their shoes for a moment... this is media, it will follow them for life...it was discussing what was done to that family for vanity sake... I don't care if they where public figures, some things should be allowed in a family as private due to the pain it causes... it would be a different story if these people went public with this, they did not.. it was malicious to say the least...

it came from a social gospel. the leaders in the real Gospel wouldn't comment publicly judgmentally without talking directly to 2 or more accountable witnesses, and then only if it was there judgment to make (i.e. inside their assembly/jurisdiction)

Sorry, but that is just a gross comment.

There's nothing gross about it. Their show was called 19 kids AND COUNTING. Meaning they were obligated to keep having kids in order to keep the show going and to keep getting $$$. Like I said, if you can't afford to feed and clothe that many kids, then get yourselves fixed. They ought to worry more about Josh and less about how long it will take to make another baby.

That's just an opinion not based in fact.

fact #1. The show IS called "19 Kids and counting."

fact #2. To keep the show going, they ARE required to keep having kids. Otherwise there would be no reason to do the show.

fact #3. They need to stop creating kids, and worry about the ones they already have. When God said, "go forth and multiply," he did NOT mean go have 1000 babies and profit from it on TV.

fact #4. The ONLY reason they were even approached to do the show, was because they DO have so many kids.

THOSE are facts. :)

Be careful that you do not skew the facts with muddy lies and hypercritical judgment.

Pointing fingers and having an opinion is very dangerous and wrong. Our sin is no different than that of Josh's. God works in mysterious ways and can reveal our sin whenever he wants for what ever reason. I'll point out also that Josh was NOT a believer. Not that is makes it better, but Josh was doing what unsaved people do, and came to know the Lord after this situation. I'll also say that who cares why the show started and we also need to be careful playing God about how many children anyone needs to have. God is the creator of life. The Dugger's are actually debt free and have other things that bring in money besides the show. BTW, I"m not a Dugger show watcher. I'm a believer that this subject doesn't even need to be discussed nor judged. We all come from the same potential of sin.

They knew this was in their family history. They know how the media is biased against Christians and should have guessed they would dig and hold on like a dog with a bone over this.Media loves to sensationalize, especially when it comes to Christians. They put their own family in the limelight,no one forced them to do so.If they didnt want to reveal the truth that should have been a sign that tv was not a good idea for their family. They should have put the family first, their daughters first knowing this was in their family history. What this young man did was very serious and not to be taken lightly.People seem to make it look like the media has destroyed these girls lives when it was their own brother who was the cause of so much shame and pain.Im not saying he cant be forgiven but I hope he has gotten serious help so he does not re-offend in the future.
