I've read every thing you've posted in this thread up through today 1/29/2017 and I am left with one question and one comment on the below lines you wrote.

Can you please elaborate just a little on élan in the line above? I don't want to assume it simply means enthusiasm; but if so, it is still masterfully worded.

Seems like a nice portal alluding down through time resurfacing in the spider's web and the mystery of it's work that I think we can all relate to; though some can relate a little more than others. In this dimension where we have our being today, love seems to be both a blessing and a curse. Thank God for His Son Jesus Christ who has freed us from the curse, so that we can somewhat begin to love as He does!

    Peace be unto you Magenta.
Thank you, and everyone who has commented, on your very kind words.

To answer your question on how I am using the word élan: it is meant to convey my love for life as it is found and deeply rooted in its attachment to the other. It is my joie de vivre: the joyful and profoundly spiritual exultation of love, that involves my whole being, and enters into every meditation on the meaning of of life, and my raison d'etre.

    Love unfolds within my heart

    Blossoming inside me

    Life unfolds before my eyes
    Ever yet a myst'ry

    Can it be?
    I've heard it said
    We're not to understand

    The questions asked
    Of life and love
    Unanswered
    In God's hands

    This may be true
    For what are we
But shapes of things to come?

    Trapped in time
    Within our minds
    Until love brings us home.

    How can I ever undo
All the harm that I have caused
Not only did I hurt myself
    I broke the karmic laws

I never meant to harm a soul
No heart I meant to break
I only wanted what I thought was mine
    But not to take

    I tried to live
    I tried to give
    I tried to stay afloat

I tried to stay on even's keel
And not to rock the boat

Somehow I failed in even this
    Somewhere I strayed amiss

Too many questions asked of love
    Had swamped my life's abyss.

    Our love was unspoken
And our hearts we did conceal

I understand the poem better after reading oldethennew's comment on here. If the poem is about this as well?

Very well put together, all words are nicely combined.

I dreamt of you again last night
    Of you and I together
So many years I've dreamt of us
    Like this no matter whether

    We're together or apart
    You are etched within
    My heart's so full
    I cannot love another

You masterpiece my heart and soul
    You render me asunder
So many years I've felt like this for you
    I have to wonder

Are we written in the stars?
Are we bass and treble bars?
    Sweet music
    Lightning and thunder

I have never seen a cactus flower, didn't even know there was any flowers blossoming up from the cactus plant. It looks really beautiful! Thanks for sharing this!

I also read through all of your poems in here. Enjoyed reading them out loud, I often prefer doing this when reading most poems. I like hearing the sound given to it as well as feeling the rhythm in my tone when reading up every word. You have nice skills in writing, it is very pleasent to read, and you use words in an beautiful manner. God keep on blessing you!

    Siddhartha found tranquility
He learned to let things be
    Govinda went on striving
In his quest he could not see

    I am as both
    Duality exists within my core
As closer I get to my self
I see it all the more

    Then why this life
    Inherent strife
    What purpose does it serve?

What can be learned if blinded by
    The passing or hors d'oeuvres?

    When the feast
    That final rest
    When shall I obtain

    That ageless grace
    And see the face
    Of God
    To Whom I strain

    Very much appropriate for today.
Php 3:7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

Php 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

    Well done Magenta.

Made me think of these verses:

    Ecclesiastes 4:7-9
    (7) Then I returned, and I saw vanity under the sun.
    (8) There is one alone, and there is not a second; yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet is there no end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied with riches; neither saith he, For whom do I labor, and bereave my soul of good? This is also vanity, yea, it is a sore travail.
    (9) Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor.

    Ecclesiastes 11:8
    (8) But if a man live many years, and rejoice in them all; yet let him remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many. All that comes is vanity.

That verse hearkens back to the power in the spider's work that you illuminated so vividly.

Peace and blessings unto you Magenta.
