Once a sparrow sang true
Oh hallelujah
Then a serpent cane prowling
After devouring a dove

Said the serpent
"Why do you sing in such things...when I have mortality....man's lust of rich things!"


Said the sparrow
"I sing for Jesus it's true....
Not for evil or darkness I find yet in you"


Said the devil to the sparrow..
"Sing your song in your strength!
For I must admit....Jesus conquers my day!
And I dare not admit!
But love destroys me this way!"


So the devil went away....
For the love
He fears that leads us....
Is the love....
In the power of Jesus
