Teach me to walk with you

Teach me to walk with you
day by day.

To surrender all to you
come what may.

To give up worry and fear
and learn to pray.

To learn of your love
and the price you did pay.

Show me how Mountains move
when I walk in your way.

And how ashes turn to beauty
as I learn to obey.

Keep me on the narrow path
dont let me stray.

Jesus help me surrender all
to you and in your shadow stay.

Ages ago I had a dream in which I was in a very dark place, so
dark that I could not see my hand in front of my face.

Then a bright shining path appeared, I was standing on it and it shone
brilliant white in the darkness. I could see the path both behind me and in
front of me going off into the distance.

Then the scene changed and I was no longer standing on the path I was stood
in the darkness and I felt a terrible fear, but I could see the path just up ahead
shining in the darkness. I just knew that as long as I was standing on that
path, I would be safe and I ran over to it.

The contrast was extreme, how dark was the darkness, but how brilliant
white was the light of the path.

There is no other path to walk on outside of Jesus, all other paths are dark
and lead to destruction, but as long as we are on that path we are saved.

Sometime we skip and run along that path carefree like children, other
times it is all we can do to just stand on that path and we barely seem to
move along it at all. But as long as we are standing on that path we are
safe.
