Flowers fell down to the floor
while her no echoed my ears
I felt angry and kinda hurt
trying not to cry or weep silently

The next days I just locked up home
wandering in the ceiling of my thoughts
without knowing God was casting out
all of the obstacles that made me blind

an inner strength grew in me
and God taught me how to listen
and her rejection made me see
an open door I didn't want to see

Her no made me see my flaws
her negative was the subject I needed to study
and the hated teacher I had to listen
to then become the man I am now

Now, after ten years
that woman came back to me
to tell me she was wrong
that she wanted to be with me
but I looked into her eyes and told her:
