I do not and have forgotten too often
to praise You! I have become cold
when I ought to have been on fire
and not over a long time but rather
quite shamefully in matter of hours
What in the hell do I want? Well
is it not clear? By my poor attitude
I want hellish chaos and not Abba's
favoring Presence!
Forgive me Abba, forgive my black heart
that has forgotten the price You paid to
redeem me from the slavepits of hell I sold myself into
and forgive me for my ingratitude and
for all You have freely brought me.
Renewing, purging Flame burn
off the dross, hide not Your Mighty Right Hand,
dip Your fingers in
and wipe off the filth that floats to the top
so I can reflect Your Glory
Anoint me again.

function as Your priest and ambassadorial son
Abba, remake and remold me anew, a vessel for You,
