    Default outline for a play

As the smoke simmered from a wrecked car, a 6 year old little girl is in the back seat, a man comes to the car, the little girl replies, “are you here for me, the stranger replies no, sorry your mother and father, the little girl begins to tear up, just as a police car and fire truck arrived, one of the fireman yells out “we got a little girl alive here lets get the jaws, the police officer walks up to the gentleman and says sir can you move away from the car, the stranger says yes, and then says in a low voice, its not your time yet, be good and walks away from the car slowly. As the ambulance pulls up, a crowd is starting to form, around this accident. The people sit in amazement one even comments is anyone even alive in there, the other replies yea the little girl in the back seat that's all I know, thank goodness the parents had her in a safety seat.....as the fireman work swiftly to remove the back doors of this car, the paramedic states there both gone in the front, going to make the call and get a time, the officer says I'll notify child services to come down to the precinct until we can get a next of kin....the little girl sobs signally with a smile on her face.....

for he comes like a thief in the night.....................

yea man, this is that good killer, one guy says to another, its the middle of the night as all dark things are done in........well homie, a heavy set guy says dressed in blue, you going to have to check that in as he pulls a gun, as the other man sits in amazement, check it in, what you from the 1980's or something check it in, and the slinder man with the trash bag full of weed pulls out a gun, I am not giving you crap, a shot rings out, and the stranger comes around the corner, who are you the slinder man asks, the stranger says “i am that which your mother brought you to when you was young and hoped that you would get to know me, the stranger also replies, you know my word but you have somehow forgotten it, and that is understandable in a world, such as it is..but I am here for you now, well you go with me or will you go with him, and the stranger points his finger at a shadowing figure, this shadowing figure says “he's mines let him go, he's coming with me!” the thin man falls to his knee and yells out “I want to repent, I ask you stranger for forgiveness of all that I have done.” the stranger says very well...and the shadow figure says “well he don't mean that he seen me, he knows that me and him are going to have a ball where I am going to take him so let's go and he walks towards the thin man. The stranger gets in front of the thin man and says to the shadowy figure, “this one is not yours to take, for he knows of his deeds, he knows of my word, and he has asked for forgiveness of them, he shall not travel the path with you..” the shadow figure turns and says “that's alright, ill get the next one, I always do.” the stranger says”today you will not get this one, and tomorrow will take care of the next, and I will be there.” the shadow figure in disinterestedness says “whatever!” and disappears into the night...the thin man with tears in his eyes says “thank you” the stranger says, “my lamb, for I am with you and will always be, but you will have to answer to man for what you have done, but carry my doing with you.” the thin man said “i will” the stranger says “raise up!” just at that moment the thin man wakes in a hospital bed...yelling “Thank the Lord!, Thank you mama!” a policeman whom appeared to be standing at the door said keep it down in there, as a nurse rushes by to see what the commotion was in the room.

Will you ask forgiveness, will it be granted, or will you choose to go in darkness????

this last story, an old man sits on a park bench, he is breathing heavy as in the back drop there is a church. The old man is reflecting on when the walk wasn't so hard on him, as he sits at this park bench the stranger walks up to him and asks the old man, “are you ready” the old man said “its been a long time coming, and I have be patiently waiting for this day.” the stranger asks, do you know who I am? The old man replies” of course I do, been getting to know you over there for the last 45 years, you brought me and my wife together, and have helped me get thru some of the roughest times in my life.” the stranger then replies, “good, and I know of you also, your the type of person that always has me in there heart I like that and appreciate that a whole lot, and you know that I love you very deeply.” the old man stands up and says “i'm ready now.” the stranger says “where we are going some can not get to, you my friend will dine with me and my father tonight hope you dont mind steak and lobster...” steak and lobster, sounds like a feast.” says the old man, yes it is a feast in your honor for you have given your life to me and given back to me the love that I have shown you, and also because you know me quite well..” the old man and the stranger walk off into the sun rise, just as a young man comes up to the old man whom looked like he was passed out on the bench, mr.jones you alright, mr. jones.....the young man yells out across the street at the people who where gathering at the church after services, some one call the ambulance mr. jones is passed out over here,....people start hurrying quickly to the old mans location on this park bench.........as one woman comes up to this old man now slumped over the park bench, the woman says im a nurse, please let me look at him, the woman says mr.jones in a concerned voice, she cry's out mr.jones can you hear me...the old man laid there seemingly resting peacefully. The woman puts her hand on the old mans neck....she says my God he has no pulse, some one help me perform cpr on him.....as the woman gives cpr and continues to call the old mans name mr. jones.....mr. Jones.........an older lady is heard saying, “right after church services, bless his heart, bless his heart...”

I take it that these are synopsis for plays or short skits that can be done in a church setting. I used to enjoy putting some together for our youth group some 17 years ago. Its great fun and an awesome ministry tool. I must say I love the last one the most. The others are great but the last one resonated with me.
