She walks to the stream,
She is barefoot,
Sandals in hand,
A tear stained face,
Yet she is full of grace,
The tears she knows ,
She will need to erase
She sits down,
On the log,
With flowers all around,
A man comes from behind,
In a white robe and sandals
He sits beside her,
A tear he sheds,
For he hurts for her,
A child he created not to long ago,
He wipes her tears,
He whispers
Ever so softly,
So gently in her ear,
My child,
I love you so,
And I am here,
When you have no other,
And no place to go,
She looks at him,
Straight in the eyes,
She hears his every word,
She stands up,
Wraps her tiny arms around him,
Gives him her gentle hug,
She takes her hands,
She places them in his,
He gets up and together,
Hand in hand
They walk together,
To the forever promised land.
She is barefoot,
Sandals in hand,
A tear stained face,
Yet she is full of grace,
The tears she knows ,
She will need to erase
She sits down,
On the log,
With flowers all around,
A man comes from behind,
