Here on my arm lies the marks that I made.
When I was so low I cut with a blade
To punish my body for being a mess,
Though here is my testament, I must confess...

That seeing these scars left on my arms, legs and chest
Are proof I was in a place of no rest;
I feel guilty inside for leaving this token.
Now I will see and remember that I am broken.

But seeing these scars helps me see
That I survived so much trauma and trying to be free;
So I ask of you now to stand with me and fight,
To show all these demons what they're doing's not right,

A daily battle of good versus bad.
Im still alive and fighting sad;
Here on my arm lies a mark of survival,
I go through my hate and with self-rival.

There is a story in the Bible where Jesus and His disciples got off the boat, and a man with demons confronted Him. He lived among the tombs of the dead, wailing in suffering and hitting himself with stones. You see? This is nothing new. It requires an exorcism in a way-- or realizing "Freedom in Christ" through help of Christian friends who understand deliverance from tormenting spirits. The key is realizing that you can not fight the battle by yourself. Our own minds or hearts or wills are not strong enough on our own with our own resources to either fight malicious spirits (which will try to draw people into these battles, which gives them more influence--when people engage them in battles, since it is like an invitation). OUr own resources can not either justify or condemn us, and neither can evil spirits. They do not have the power or authority to do so, but they will try and deceive people into believing that they do, which gives them more influence. The Apostle John said: "If our heart condemns us, God is greater than our hearts." (or minds or wills).

Look up on the internet, "Spiritual Freedom Ministries," like "Freedom in Christ Ministries," the book: "The Bondage Breaker." But, don't try to resolve these issues alone. Talk to a trusted pastor right away. It's ok, though to read about how to establish believing truth, which is the main weapon against lies and deception. But, don't try to find deliverance alone without a Christian communities help. The "Freedom in Christ" Ministries can help find someone trained to help with spiritual issues like this, and there may be underlying counseling issues that need to be resolved. The key to freedom inChrist is believing the truth that as Christians, we are loved, accepted, and forgiven--all people equally--through the New Covenant of Grace. God is faithful to His promises. He can not, and He will not, go back on His Word, or treat people unequally. The Bible says, God has given the commandment to save you. Can anything interfere with the Word of God? Make a choice to believe Him, to trust Him. We receive what we believe, and become who we believe in, as one pastor said.

The first thing to do, is read all the way through Psalm 119-- And then the first few chapters of Mark.
