From dust conceived by sin deceived
We’ve fallen far from grace
Because of pride we had to hide
From the presence of God’s face

He came to earth for the lost to search
Stripped of the kingdom’s robe
He humbled himself before us
The king in beggar’s clothes

Instead of thanks, three nails and planks
And scourging his reward
Sour wine though he made the vine
Not a crown of gold but thorns

He is risen death no prison
No shackles for a snare
When all stand before him
There will be no mocking there

The offer stands from God to man
Choose grace or choose the sword
As for me and my house
We will serve the Lord!
