Good morning Jesus
Friend of mine,
This morning I heard
A waking bird singing
Outside my window.
The first of the morning,
He came without warning
And shattered my empty
Silences of thought, gently.
Coming to me from the dark
He came to me to help me mark
This special day of knowing you
Just like everyday, skies of blue.
