The faces of Christ,
How very many we see.
Seated beside the still water,
beckoning with His open heart.
Alone on the cross
Risen from the tomb.
A Man
An ox
An Eagle
A lion.
Were it a you, my friend, what would you be?
Describe it please.
An oak
A Willow
A wandering Jew.
A crabapple
Or a flowering crab just for show.
So many directions, we turn our face.
Can we walk the straight and narrow, and find a place
so sweet and calm as to see His face
Do we sit by the sea?
Or do we scatter and run to wherever we please.
Think long, my friend, and soon you will see
the truth
the love
and your destiny.
How very many we see.
Seated beside the still water,
beckoning with His open heart.
Alone on the cross
Risen from the tomb.
A Man
An ox
An Eagle
A lion.
Were it a you, my friend, what would you be?
