Tis the tale, I have heard.
Of things women endure,
How men disrespect,
How men lie and cheat,

For all they do, yea,
And all they endure,
Is not too much to ask,
That an ounce of respect,
And debt of gratitude be paid.

As mothers and wives,
sisters and cousins,
as friends and our encouragers.

Who keep house and home,
Deliver and raise our children,
Listen to our problems,
And shower us in affection.

Cook and Clean, the list goes on.
Dishes, Laundry, and other things,
That I may not have mentioned.

How do men, treat women like that?
Slap them around,
Run to another womans arms?

For all it's worth, This I say,
Men love your women,
Honour and Cherish them,
Because, life with out them,
Isn't worth living.

Women in simplest form are easy to please,
With Flowers and candy,
A card of thanks,
A hug and Kiss,

All she asks is the simplest things,
To be appreciate for all she does,
To be loved for who she is,
To have a gesture of gratitude, and
show you care.

hahahaha

right?

guess it was a hidden blessing
That's right its not what happens to us that's out of our control that matters, but its, rather, how we react in kind to God's Spiritual truths that gives us what we control more union with our Maker, and hence more blessings and purpose.

I was bought up in what was once known as the roughest place in Europe.

When someone held a knife to your throat and said "Bit of friendly advice, give me your wallet and I won't stab you" You hoped he was friendly, friendly behind they would not stab you.

The estate I lived on there was an average of 3 rapes a week.

After 6 no one walked the streets.

My mum was bought up in the worst of the times.
She learned how to fight.

No lie but she is about 5ft, she mixed with the wrong sort and learned.

In her alcohol fuelled years I have seen her at her worst.
I never knew my father, only my step father. An army man. He liked his drink as well.
So when both drunk it was a cocktail of disaster.

She took him down every time, very vicious and I've seen her take many a person down.

That was my childhood experience.

In fact in the bad old days it would not be unusual for me to be given a beating that was quite severe, my dad When to hit my mum and missed her but broke my nose. Was in hospital for days.

One day I upset my mum she smacked me on the nose and gave me a black eye.

I thank Jesus that my mum is now saved, not the woman she was.

So it's not different where I lived and live.

So, now what? Take what you've learned and realize what you've become as a follower of Jesus Christ and know God would have you be with someone that is equally yoked so put God's promises into practice: Pray for it! "God, grant NoNameMcgee a Christian woman whom (he can) show respect and gratitude toward, and live in accordance with You in not cheating and lying, giving encouragement to her; help with the dishes, instead of sending Bobby up the street to buy her a box of chocolates. To honor and cherish her and never let your emotions come to stage in hurting her, and then to buy the chocolates yourself knowing what her favorites are! In Jesus name AMEN!"

Now I hope on the man's version of the threads someone is praying for your future lady, in loving you above herself too.... Smile....

Yes I have and this year we will have been married for 24 years.

It me a while to work through my issues as a result of my life experiences as a kid.

My mum was married and divorced 4 times.

When ever I got close to a lady and thought maybe this is the one I dumped them.

I did this with my now wife. The fear of divorce was greater than my fear love, but my biggest fear was actually being rejected Why love me, I'm a twat.

In fact I was engaged once to marry but I knew it wasn't right, I got to the stage of ok let's get married, let's have kids and we will get divorced at some point. I broke it off.

even as I type this I'm starting to cry.

When I met my wife for some reason I knew this is the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. As I said I dumped her but she knew that I was the man she wanted to spend her life with.

When we got back together my prayer was and is still the same today "God help me to be the husband you have asked me to be.
May I love her as you love me. May I give all I am to her as you have given to me.

I love her more than the first day we met. I live to love her and not the other way around

We are a product of our enviroment but the truth is this.

When we placed our faith in Jesus he transferred us from the environment into a new one.
Yes we carry the baggage into the New but the truth is he says give me that burden that weighs you down and I'll give a burden that doesn't. Wanna swap?

I am now 71 years old and one of the hardest things in serving the Lord is to WAIT?... Very few of us on here are patient and we want, what we want, NOW!... But I have learned in my many years of serving the Lord, that the Lord gives graciously and abundantly but and this is the key in his time and not our time... I want the Lord to be the happening and not me... When the Lord works, he gets the Glory and not the other way around... You have a godly wife, thank the Lord he gave her to you and you for her... If you try to make one godly who isn't good luck with that and unless God is in the matter you will fail... To the young man NoNameMcgee was is there to fear?... My advice to you is take a leap of faith because you never know what God has in store for you till you try... We all had to take that leap one time and me more than once. Looking back on it I'm glad the Lord gave me the grace and strength to do it... Hope this helped you!... K. James

lol its ok, I have been reading the posts up till now and I have some more to go.
Feels good to talk about your problems and let them go doesnt it?
Kind of peaceful knowing as much as you hurt your not alone, and there are others
like you, who share your pain in simular situations.

My private mail box is always open if you need someone to talk too.
and I would bet if I did another one, some one else would do the same thing lol.
God knows your hurting and need someone to talk too.
