Fear of You LORD encompasses knowledge.
Instructing us ways to do Your will.
Sheer delight is produced in a saint,
Meditating on Your statutes all day and all night.
Your Word is a compass, a lamp shining bright,
Guiding our wayward feet to the path that is right.
Fear of You LORD furnishes wisdom.
What a beauty she is, a sight to behold!
More precious than rubies and finer than gold!
How marvelous and excellent You truly are, LORD!
Producing fruit so deliciously ripe,
Peaceful, considerate, submissive, and faithful.
Full of purity, mercy, sincerity, and fairness.
Tis lovely and praiseworthy, noble and true.
Written on my heart and spoken from my lips.
My heart is enamored by Your never ending truths.
Learning and growing in wholeness and understanding.
Let my desperate plea be obedience to You,
Even when it hurts, I will surely trust You.
Teach me to fear You, to have reverential awe,
So that others may surrender to You, oh God.

You shouldn't underestimate your gift in writing. You are already very skilled in it!

There's always room for improvement. I'll be honest, I don't read a lot of poetry, never have. I'm sure I could benefit from reading some. While of continuing to write so I can exercise my God-given talent for His glory :D

True. It can be helpful reading other poems, for your own improvement as well as for your enjoyment. Learning to write poems in different styles, finding out more what writing methods you like using more, too.

Just thought of letting you know, as you seemed to think like you aren't as skilled in writing like in your given comments to DustyRhodes's way of writing. He writes his poems in a beautiful manner, yet you do so too! Every writer has a own way of expression, though one keeps on improving in different ways. Just know that the quality of your poems is already very good!

That's true. It's always good to learn new ways to write and develop your own style, I feel very new to poetry, of course I did just start writing them for God. Lol.

Thank you for that. I really shouldn't be comparing myself to other poets. To me, Dusty seems like a veteran poet. He's been doing this a lot longer than I have, whereas I just started. I guess it stems from this insecurity and fear of running out of new ways to write my poems. Even when I read other poems and literature to gain inspiration and ideas, I'll have this thought that my originality(I try to keep them as original as possible) is subpar. But of course, that could just be satan talking to ensure I stop writing. Since it already seems to be inspiring and helping others. It already means a lot to hear and know that the quality of my poems is better than I thought.

You're a pretty good poet too. I could learn a lot from you and Dusty I feel like. :)
