A poem written after doctors encouraged me to abort my daughter Naomi because of her sever medical condition.

My daughter,
Such sweet cheeks of fluff,
And toes that softly wiggle,
How could a mother stop a life,
And never hear a giggle?
My daughter,
When you were so small,
And warm inside my womb,
How could a mother stop a life,
And make herself a tomb?
My daughter,
Doctors asked if I,
Would take your life away,
How could a mother stop a life,
And live another day?
My daughter,
Special you were born,
And though you take much care,
How could a mother stop a life,
And never see you there?

I enjoyed reading your poem about your daughter. I am sure it is difficult raising a child who needs so much extra love and care; however, you are definitely the right mom for the job. I pray someone who is thinking of aborting their baby will read your poem and think twice before making that permanent decision. I pray God will continue to strengthen you and your family.
