“Here” my mind clearly sees you in the position of Abba father where I am that little girl who stands at her daddy’s side, her head rising just above his hip and his large, possessive, protecting hand rests on my shoulder, stroking my hair, pulling me close when a stranger is present. “Here”, I feel you as the one who LOVES me with a love that cannot be measured. With a love that cannot be described, but only known and felt and believed, because of its depth. Because of its power. Because of the truth, the purity of truth in which it was borne. Dear Abba Father, it is this position of Who you are, that I run to. “Here”. The one I am needing so much of these days. These past years. This present time. For it is in you, my Abba father, I find comfort and contentment. Peace. Protection. Love. “Here”, out from the clamoring thought filled mind, green pastures and cool waters reside.
“Here”, graces the position of the Holy spirit. The one who shouts confirmation of Your love in the face of doubt. The one who stirs within the depths God sends. The one who reminds me of lessons taught by Himself. One who resurrects them in my memories, as promised “long ago”. Echoing words of scripture which were left indelibly on my heart, the “deeper heart” where only You can reach. The deeper heart belonging ONLY to you. The One who urges me to seek out your word and baptize myself in it once again, for you are there… IN it. The One who so perfectly and precisely guides me to deeper meaning. Your Spirit of Truth. The Voice of Truth. The voice of reason. The Voice of wisdom.
“Here”, the position of Jesus. My savior. My true best friend. The one whose name is so powerful, I must only whisper it in the presence of evil, and evil leaves me. The one I can laugh with and tell all my thoughts to without fear of being judged. The one whose scarred hands are always visible and always willing to embrace my brokenness. The one I know, loved me all the way to the cross. The one who took judgment of my wrong doings into himself, whose blood called out my name, that I might stand before Almighty God blameless. The one who treats me as if… I… am his only. “Here” is the reality vivid.
