BEING HURT BY SOMEONE YOU LOVE


Most of us have been hurt by someone we liked or loved
Never easy to deal with,it's like a lighting bolt from above
Wanting them to behave the right way,looking for improvement
With your heart seeking a change..but seeing no movement
They mean a lot to you and you can't help how you feel
Yet having feelings for them can give you such a raw deal
Things they do or say can hurt you,can even make you cry
You know it's not a good situation,but it will hurt you to say goodbye




Sometimes you're waiting for them to acknowledge you,show you they care
Other times you're made to feel your special to them,..other times they're unfair
The dreams you held in your heart about the two of you,slowly begins to die
Yet your heat still beats for them,the question you ask yourself is Why?
Why do I still love them? Why do I still like them? Why do they treat me this way?
You tolerate the situation hoping for change....a price you're willing to pay!!
Seeking The Lord is your lifeline as only he can change the situation
It is unto him you express you deep hurts,anger,stress and frustrations



Satan seeks to crush you through this persons variety of behaviours
Yet you do have the protection of Jesus Christ your one and only saviour
Sometimes separation is one of the ways The Lord sorts things out
It takes courage to let go of them,as in your life there were always about
Sometimes God makes a way to restore things and gives a new start
Yet God sees how you have suffered and inner healing must play a part
So it's never easy to be hurt by someone you either love or like
Yet seek The Lord and trust in him alone.He will make it alright!

this is of great insight into human nature, and our acceptance/tolerance and dealing of it...

what ever the reason, this is truly a Thread that can 'help' us ALL!

'If' we are really seeking something better than what we have been dealt, been awakened to,
and whole-heartedly desire to overcome! and live our lives for our precious, Holy, Saviour...

Hi oldethennew thanks for your comments.I do appreciate you making the time to make a comment as I have notice many poems are written by others and although some have been view,they seldom receive any comments.

I wrote this open when I was hurting and just felt to express the vulnerability of being hurt when you love/like someone.
If in posting this helps even 1 person .....the every word I typed on this thread was truly worth it.
