Lost World

This world we live in,
the cradle of sin's beginning.
Where darknesses reign,
has brought in corruption's vein.

A world defiled,
creation is crying out in pain.
A world in misery,
mortal death can't be escaped.

What once was beautiful and holy,
is now tainted in hate and impurity.
What once was standing in it's wholesome glory,
is now rotting and is no longer a part of divinity.

This world we live in,
embraced by the dark kingdom.
Everyone put into chains,
living in a state of captivity.

These chains are build by desires,
fruits which are meant to attract.
"Take a bite of this,
and all of your needs will be met".

The more you eat of these fruits,
the more bound by death's grip you will be.
All are born as slaves,
being unaware of the price of liberty.

Living in a broken world,
where all the pieces are scattered around.
Everyone feeling a disconnection,
missing the whole truth.

A bleeding world,
going towards destruction.
A hurt world,
watering the fields with blood of sorrow.

This world we live in,
lost because of the gain of evil.
On it's way to damnation,
had no chances of survival.

So God, the Father from above,
wanted to bring in salvation.
Because of His love for the world,
He sent down His only begotten Son.

Light was born into darkness,
to make a path of salvation.
A free gift to be given,
for everyone who wants to believe in Him.

Salvation put on a cross,
all sin's penalty put over Him.
The Light's life died out,
three days later salvation is raised up again
from the dead.

He is exalted into glory,
He is alive forever more.
The path of salvation,
has been opened up.

Halleluya, Halleluya!
The risen King sits on the throne.
Halleluya, Halleluya!
His name will be lifted on high.

We are given the gift of eternal life,
if we choose to believe in Him.
"Repent, and believe in Him being
our Saviour,
believe with all of your heart and soul".

Jesus Christ is His name,
when you call out to Him,
He will come to your rescue.
Put your trust in Him.

Halleluya, Halleluya!
The King sits on the throne.
Halleluya, Halleluya!
He will reign for eternity.

All glory is to be given to Him,
worship His holy name.
He is named love, He is peace.
He is the truth, the way, and the life.

The second last poem part is supposed being written this way:

Halleluya, Halleluya!
The King of kings sits on the throne.
Halleluya, Halleluya!
He will reign for eternity.

Nice poem.I like the structure of the verses. It also creates In the mind of the reader visual images of the broken would around us which is nicely contrasted with redemptive plan if god through Jesus!
Great stuff!!!

Thank you. :)

I am glad it gives you visual images whilst reading this poem. I love thinking of our God as a King sitting on the throne above, showing His power and might to all. :D
