This day is born in simplicity
While I sit on the grass of a
Mid morning summer sun
And love the moments away
With the beauty of flowers
At my side pines softly stirring
Precious days, golden days
Aroma of green grasses
And sunrays softly sifting.
These distant horizons of
Fields ever glowing,
Tears of joy, happily flowing.
Where else could I go
How much happier could be
As God whispers from a tree.

Good morning DR.

Your poem made me think of this one:

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Even in simplicity, God is still as great through it all! :) And God's whisper may seem small and soft to us, yet in His creation it is loudly and clearly heard. Beautiful poem, which reminds us of enjoying what we are given in the present. Every day is a given present from God, which is new every morning.

Good morning DR.

Your poem made me think of this one:

smiles as i look at it, it's about the same length and somewhat with the same
thoughts...i confess i have read that poem but it was away pack in high school,
required reading. It's nice if even in a small way, mine reminded you of that.
Thanks so much for that comment.

Thanks for that and it's good to know that someone else appreciates simplicity. :D

Praise God for the ways through which He communicates! All His creations are ever marvelous!
