So much that does not measure up-
Remnants, not enough to be useful
So many bits, none quite right
Fragments
They haunt me
Not enough humor-too maudlin, not bright
Not enough length- this piece too short, and too wide
Not enough beauty- the pattern is unattractive
Not enough sexiness- too plain and homely
Not enough simplicity- the crazy complexity is too much
yet, oddly not enough
Not enough brilliance- too dull, no shine
Not enough confidence- not bold
Not enough spirituality- just a dye that imperfectly hides the defects
Not enough softness- it feels prickly and harsh

It would seem that all these rags and pieces could add up to make a whole, but they don't
they are not enough

Nothing is stitched together, it is all undone

worth nothing

Not measuring up

Not enough

Oh, I know God takes me just as I am. I have no worries on that score. God is mercy, longsuffering, and grace. I meant not being good enough for a particular man. I'm too complicated!

Thank you for the compliments about my classroom, they are appreciated. Perhaps you can see your granddaughter's classroom on Grandparents' Day. Most schools have lunch with students and grandparents that day. It is in September. Some schools have 100 day celebrations usually in January where the students dress up as little old men and ladies. They sometimes invite grandparents to schools on those days, too.

This is a great bit of writing, makes you think. You have so much worth, there are not enough people like you in the world with hearts like yours. I can relate to not feeling good enough myself. Thanks for sharing. :)

Thank you, you don't know what that means to me. I want to tell you that I think you are very fine and definitely more than good enough and apologize for saying or doing anything to ever make you feel unworthy. You have a great heart, you are a diamond.

A lot of us have these same thoughts because of a society lacking real value. It is such a blessing to know that we are enough for the Lord and who cares what this world doomed for fire thinks?

You're very welcome. *hugs* I don't think you ever said anything negative, you are always so kind and sweet, but I still appreciate your compliment and I will take it! :D Keep writing, you're a diamond too.

I did not mean by the world's standards. It is about unrequited love.

Nice work. I've been rejected a lot of time and I always think that I'm not good enough or not enough. Your piece thugs my strings of emotions.

Yes...I can see that meaning as well...but whether it's an individual or the world that does not return our love, it is good to know the Lord loves each of us...even those that don't love Him. (And He loves vamps too sis!)
