A soldier is at the frontier,
His life is at stake.
He needs to steadily win the battle
No matter whatever it takes.
But if he gets distracted,
Or panicked or drunk,
Not being in focus,
If he forgets to don on
His shield and helmet...

How long do you think
The battle could go on?
It would sadly end
In his ultimate death song!

Why would we distracted
By flesh and world
When our life is at stake?
Is there room for distraction?

Our Saviour is Our Mighty Victor
Who won death with Godly
Obedience and sacrifice.
He gave us life, which we can't forget.
He gifted us a new heart, making us a new creation.

Even if our life is at stake,
We can fix our eyes onto Him!
Who is our shepherd!
Whose love bind us
To the hope of being with Him
Eternally.

For He is our portion
What more distractions do we need?
His grace is sufficient
To keep our cup overflowing.

That's a very direct and deep poem, biblelearner123. :)

Though in this worldly battle we may sometimes get distracted, still, it is a matter of not being kept down for too long. Once we get hit by the enemy we may fall a bit down, but once we manage getting ourselves collected again, we will rise up again and continue fighting.

Greatly written! I like it! *two thumbs up*

a wonderful Poem, a very sensitive poem, but alas, WE must make our own choices,
yes, He calls, but we have a choice to answer...

You seem like a wise young lady, and very deeply set into your belief in Christ. Keep it up! Keep on being a soldier for Christ. *Much Hugs*

Nicely done:--thank you for the beautiful way of reminding us to put on the armour of God. And it'so easy to get distracted by all the issues of day to day life. Mathew 6:33. Love your poem, keep it up.

yes, His Grace is always sufficient, but is our show of thankfulness, by our actions?
if not, then our Faith is in vain, because there is no proof of our professed love for Him...

Thank you sir, indeed it is an important reminder for a child of God to equally consider faith and action so that Christ's sacrifice would not be in vain.
