There’s so many wounds deep inside my veins.
I’m locked, I am all alone in my castle of pain.
It is so deep, within my broken heart.
A heart that is wounded and torn apart.
The walls of that castle are unshakeable, more than a stone.
They are built from rebuffs, pain and sorrow.
And in the tower, there’s a little room
where a little girl cries in darkness, in gloom.
That little girl is me, lost in the world.
Looking for protection, and for kind word.
Looking for Savior, who’ll save her from remorse.
Looking for happiness, a prince on a white horse.
Asking her question: Am I worthy of love?
A calming voice whispered "yes" from somewhere above.
And suddenly she realized, she’s not here alone.
There’s someone with her, outside the door.
With little hesitation she unlocks the door,
and there is her King, in shining armor.
He wrapped His arms around her, and told her “I’m here”.
She finally smiled, without any fear.
He was there, He’s come for her, to save her from pain,
He was there to lead her out from darkness into day.
All I can say is “Thank you, my Lord Jesus,
for saving me, seeing me, from showing me my purpose.”
Thank you, Lord, for being here for me. For breaking down the walls I had built around my heart. For Your healing touch, Your mercy and love which I do not deserve and yet, I am blessed with it.
