There’s only truly one.
Then you will know the truth, if you didn’t before.
Sometimes there just aren’t enough tears.
Fears are plenty.
Courage, with truth, is enough.
Faith in all cures the fears.
Sometimes, though, there just aren’t enough tears.
I think about the Lord.
And His walk on earth.
His difficult beginning.
The Lowly birth.
His life lived quietly for the next 30 some years…then
Light appears with a grapevine’s worth.
Sometimes there just aren’t enough tears.
3 years later, on a quiet frightening night.
The grapevine again, takes on light.
The perfect, unfermented ‘wine’ of the vine…the juice running clear.
Sometimes…there just aren’t enough tears.
He must cry watching us down here. With new tears every day.
Hoping and praying we look His way.
If tears were met by rainbows…how lovely it might be.
The colors, sometimes, run together for me.
The blood covered and removed all my sin
For me to once again begin.
Sometimes there just aren’t enough tears.
Praise for love is the only response, it appears.
