It was the hour
For my power
To me He did say
I should pray
'tis the way
I stood on the ledge
Gave him my pledge
They did not believe
Nor did they conceive
I had to heed
Was His creed
For me to bleed
'twas my fate
not too late
As I drank the wine
His face did shine
The crown would be mine
As I drew near
The children did cheer
Seems they knew
What I had to do
To be a star
To wear my scar
I had to break the jar
I mean to say a jar of clay
