Hi everybody,
In Februar 2012 i made the choise to become a penpal with some prisoners. Some are in death-row, others in life-sentence but most of them are incarcerated for 15-35 years. Some of my new friends has been sending me a poem. Those poems aren't all self-written, but are all very important to those friends. I send those poems to the other prisoners, to encourage them in a way only another prisoner or ex-prisoner can do. Those poems make us looking up to the prisoner Jesus, who let Himself got locked up, innocent, with no other reason than to set us free. To set us free from slavery to the Devil, slavery we have been admitting with happiness. We walked away from the Lord, from our Father without looking back. We let Him down. And He came after us, He bought us back by giving Himself in our place. So, please read those poems. Poems from prisoners, for prisoners, to lead us to The Prisoner. To lead us to the only one who can get us feeling free, while being in prison.
Have you ever felt so lonely
Have you ever felt so lonely, not one friend at all
There is no one you can talk to, no one you can call
You haven't got a letter or a visit in a while
Have you ever hurt so bad, it was impossible to smile
You act like things are easy, you try to stand the pain
At night you'll fight the tears, from falling down like rain
Have you ever felt so lonely, so much pain inside
Without someone to run to, without a place to hide
Are you hunting for an answer, every day and night
Did your world become to dark, are you looking for a light
Have you ever felt so lonely, not one friend at all
You will find a friend in Jesus, He's there for you to call
No matter what you've done, repent and make it right
Stop living in the dark, 'cause He can be your light
He will cleanse you from all sin, and save your soul from Hell
He will listen to your prayer, even from your cell
If you're hunting for the answer, it is not hard to find
Open up the Bible and read Romans ten verse nine
You see, i used to be so lonely, not one friend at all
But i found a friend in Jesus, and all i did was call.

His strenght and song
He gives me strength from day to day
To face whatever comes my way
He lifts me to great hights above
And reassures me of His love
He walks with me when days seem long
And puts into my heart a song
A lov'ley tune with sweeter words
That even stills the songs of birds
But for a moment, then they sing
More sweeter song the Saviour brings
Songs that lift up a heavy load
When trudging down a lonesome road
He is my hope, my joy, my life
Who keeps me safe through storms and strife
I'd not be able to carry on
Without His strength, without His song.

The Lesson
In the midst of a storm, clouds will break
The sunlight streams on through
It may be just a smile or touch
That someone shares with you
But in that smile and in that touch
God makes His presence known
To tell you as you walk this storm
You do not walk alone
For storms are not forever things
In time they pass on by
Yet when the rainbow comes
We still keep asking why
Was there no other way to learn
except by clouds and storms?
For trust and faith were easy friends
When we were safe and warm
But God would ask for greater faith
and hope that reassures
To teach that in the midst of storms
His constant love endures!
