Each step taken; one step's on sanity, while the other's on going insane.
One side of me is deformed & damaged from deep within the pain.
Who am I? Who are you? Do we even really know?
What is this? What is life? What do we have to show?
All this negativity everywhere, it seems it's all around.
Replace with positivity of the truth we've surely found.
The only thing that makes any sense whatsoever is truly love.
It is given to us freely as a gift from the One that's far above.
Sometimes we fall short, & that at times can hurt.
I've fallen so short at times I've wanted to return to dirt.
We must get back up, & that at times can be hard.
We have to have our shield of peace, & be sure to keep your guard.
The shield is called Christ & I'm truly glad He came.
He died for you & I plus all who call upon His name.
All of this was done for us so that we could truly live.
He is alive today & has the mighty power to forgive.
The price of death He paid for us as long as we truly believe.
With His name at heart, there's nothing we can't achieve.
Our robes where made clean with the blood He had to shed.
As long as we hold His name at heart we will never truly be dead.
