The girl's dress is pure white, unblemished. Thin straps, with an intricate pattern on them made the girl eye-catching. Her necklace swung slightly as she ran, bare foot through the castle. Her tiara was slightly askew, when she finally reached the room to which she wanted to be. Pushing open the doors, she walked into the throne room, her head held high. "Where's Daddy?" She demands.
"Right here" A voice said from behind her. She turns to face her father. "I was with you all along" He tells her.
"Hurts Daddy" The girl whispers to him
"I know sweetheart, come here" Her father whispers, holding out his arms to her. Without hesitation, the little girl disappears into his arms, almost completely invisible. "Hush baby daddy's here" He whispers, comforting the crying little girl. "Everything's gunna be ok"
"Promise?" The girl asks
"Promise" her father replies. "Your my princess, my beautiful girl, and don't you ever forget that"
"I won't" The girl replies

Amy awoke to her parents fighting. She crept out of bed and peeked out through the crack in the door, a reminder of a past argument where her mother had ended up in hospital for weeks. She could just see her father's face, screaming curses at her mother, who was replying in a similar manner. Amy whimpered, and crept to her window. Quietly opening it, she climbed out. She ran as fast as she could, until her legs couldn't carry her anymore. She'd found herself at a building, where music and laughter where coming out of it. She looked in wondering if it was safe. There were loads of people, all of them happy for some reason. It was scary to someone who hardly knew what happiness was about. Amy stood there watching, until she noticed someone watching her.

"You don't have any right to be here you know" A voice said from behind. The little girl looked over her father's shoulder, to see someone she recognized too well. The girl whimpered, and hid in her father's arms. "Saul" Her father's voice was warning, telling him to back off.
"I'm telling the girl her version of the truth, you know that" Saul replied taking a step towards them.
"Go away" The girl said "I'm with my daddy, so I should be here. Your wrong"
Saul came closer, and his eyes met hers "You’re not worth it"
"I'm a princess" The girl whimpered, her voice not as strong as before.
"No, you're worthless"

Jamie noticed the girl standing at the door. He walked over to her, and knelt down, his eyes at her level. The girl moved back into the shadows of the door, just slightly, but her bright green eyes were easy to make out. "Hi" Jamie whispered.
"Hi" the girl whispered back after a moment.
"You look kinda cold. Did you want to come inside?" he asked
"Am I allowed?" The girl asked. "It looks like there's a party in there"
Jamie laughed. "I guess you could call it a party, but at this party everyone's invited, so come on in" he held his hand out to her, letting her make the next move. Amy looked at him, and slowly, she took it.

"I'm not!" The girl told him. "Go away"
Saul looked at the girl and her father. "You heard her Saul" The girl's father said "Do I need to ask my guards to escort you out?"
"No, I'm going, I'm going" Saul sighed. "But I'll be back"
Together they watched him leave. "Daddy?" The girl said quietly
"Yes princess?"
"He was lying, right?"
"Of course he was." Her father held her a little tighter.

After the 'party' Jamie decided to find out a little more about the 'mystery girl' who was commonly known as Amy. "So little Amy, how old are you?"
"Eight" She said, eating a sandwich that had been given to her.
Jamie looked at her, surprised "Where are your parents?" He asked her
"At home. I ran away"
"Why?"
"Cause I was scared. They were fighting again."
Jamie looked at the girl, worry starting to fill his heart. "Do they fight much?" He asked.
"Yeah, all the time. Sometimes they start hitting each other" Amy said glancing at Jamie.
"Do they ever hurt you?"
"Only when I get in the way" Amy said. "Once they get mad, neither of them can see anything."
Jamie nodded, "Hey Amy, I think it might be a good idea for you to come home with me for now ok"
Amy looked surprised "Why?"
"Well if you're running away, you don't want to go home, do you?"
"No" Amy said warily afraid
"I have a spare room at my house, you can sleep in there tonight, and then tomorrow, we'll go and talk to someone who might be able to stop your parents from fighting." Jamie said. "You up for that?"
"Ok" Amy nodded.

The girl sat in her room with Leah, her "Nanny, Body guard, and friend among other things". The girl sat with her toys, having a tea party "Are you sure you don't wanna play Leah?"
"I'm sure darlin'''" Leah said smiling at the little girl.
"Do you think Daddy will play with me?" The girl asked
"Umm, I'm not sure. Maybe should you should ask him"
"I'll write him a letter, and then he'll come" The girl decided.

It was well past midnight when the bell rang. Jamie rolled out of the bed, hitting the floor hard. Grumbling, he went into the living room and opened his front door. Peter, a policeman, and friend, was standing there. "Jamie, how are you"
"Little late for a social call isn't it Peter?" Jamie asked letting his friend in.
"I'm here on business I'm afraid. That girl you took home with you from church."
"Yeah what about her?"
"Her parents have filed a missing persons report"
Jamie looked at him, anger in his eyes. "Her parents have been abusing her; you should have seen the bruising on her."
"We'll take a look into that, but you need to let her come with me."
"I can't I'm not going to let her go back into that situation"
"Jamie?" Amy came into the room, sounding scared.
"Amy its ok baby, go back to sleep"
"What's going on, why are you yelling?"
"Amy you're going to need to come with me." Peter said quietly.
"Why... Jamie?"
"Don't worry Amy, you're not going anywhere." Jamie tried to comfort the girl, glaring at Peter.
"Jamie, I'll have to arrest you if you don't give her up"
"Then arrest me. I'm not giving up"

The King walked into his daughter's bedroom "Hey sweetheart"
"Daddy!" The girl screeched, making Leah flinch. The princess jumped into her father's arms, and hugged him tightly "Daddy" she whispered.

He look in Amy's eyes when Jamie walked into the room said it all. "I don't wanna go with them take me with you!" She whimpered running into his arms.
"Amy" Jamie whispered hugging her tightly "its gunna be ok, I swear it's alright. They're gunna take you to a safe place, where a new family are gunna take care of you."
"I don't want another family. I wanna stay with you"
"I'll work on it ok, and then we'll be together again."
"Promise?"
"Promise!"

It'd been a year since she'd had that conversation with Jamie. Almost a month after being removed from her parents, Amy had been killed along with her foster family by her father. The little girl finally met her real father that day. Now Princess Amy was home.

SON

It's down to this
I've got to make this life make sense
Can anyone do what I've done
I missed life
I missed the colours of the world
Can anyone go where I am

I guess I must of known, deep down, that this had to happen. But watching your son being whipped, and standing by isn’t an easy thing to do. I almost ran to him a few times, almost called out to the guards, but each time he looked at me, and his eyes told me to stay where I was. When James had arrived at my room in Jerusalem, telling me that Jesus had been arrested, i didn’t believe him at first. My son had never done anything wrong. Then I remembered how the Pharisees and priests had become jealous of my boy’s truths. And they were truths. But now, none of that matters. My son’s life is ending.

'Cause now again I've found myself
So far down, away from the sun
That shines into the darkest place
I'm so far down, away from the sun again
Away from the sun again

I glanced around the crowd trying to spot a friendly face. Besides James and I the only one of Jesus’ followers who were here was Mary Magdalene. I wondered briefly where the other 11 were. After a moment i realised the crowd was dispersing, the whipping was over. I hurried over to Jesus.

I'm over this
I'm tired of living in the dark
Can anyone see me down here
The feeling's gone
There's nothing left to lift me up
Back into the world I've known

“Mother” he whispered.
“Your doing well, my son” I whispered back, taking a towel of Mary, who had brought them over. I gently began wiping his body, knowing this would not help him get through what was to come next, but needing to comfort him. “It has to be like this” He whispered coughing blood up slightly
“I know” I replied, as James told me the guards were coming “Be brave son”
Jesus nodded, as the guard roughly pulled him to his feet.

'Cause now again I've found myself
So far down, away from the sun
That shines into the darkest place
I'm so far down, away from the sun
That shines the life away from me
To find my way back into the arms
That care about the ones like me
I'm so far down, away from the sun again

I followed him through the crowd, as closely as I could, knowing he needed me. He may of been the son of God, but I was still his mother. He was struggling with the heavy cross. He fell, a few times during the long trek to Golgotha and I couldn’t do anything. It was hard but I had to. “Give me strength, Lord” I whispered as we finally reached the mount. James, Mary and I pushed through the crowd, and finally got to the front, as the first nail pierced his hand. He didn’t make a sound, but i could see in his face, it was agony. But he didn’t cry out. I realised after a moment, he hadn’t cried out when he was whipped either. He turned to look at me and i stared back, nodding slightly, telling him it was ok, as the final nail went through his feet. He closed his eyes, and they lifted up the cross, into its position. It was then I saw the sign “This is the King of the Jews.” Pilate had ordered it, James explained to me, as the sky went dark.

It's down to this
I've got to make this life make sense
And now I can't do what I've done
And now again I've found myself
So far down, away from the sun
That shines the life away from me

I looked up, knowing that God could no longer stand to watch his son suffer. I had to. The crowds, and the guards began mocking him, telling him to get himself down, but he didn’t answer them. One of the prisoners told Jesus to save him, but the other said to the first “Don’t you fear God? We’re getting what we deserve, but this man has done nothing wrong” He then asked Jesus to remember him when he came into his kingdom. Jesus told him that they would be together in paradise. The hours rolled on, and it became harder and harder for my poor son to cope. I heard him beg his father to forgive the men who were crucifying him. He turned and looked at me “It is finished” he told me I nodded, and my tears began to fall as the last breath finally left my son’s body.

'Cause now again I've found myself
So far down, away from the sun
That shines into the darkest place
I'm so far down, away from the sun
That shines the life away from me
To find my way back into the arms
That care about the ones like me
I'm so far down, away from the sun again
