Them

This Is a poem of mine that was published back in 2007.


They all said they knew her
They all saw her cry
They new about her broken hearts
And all the dirty lies
They all said they knew her
They all saw her die
They weren't at her funeral
They weren't by her side
I guess they didn't see it coming
Yet all this time they knew
They saw the things he did to her
Yet claimed they had no clue



This poem is about the abuse i saw my Mom go through. All her friends and all the neighbors new, yet they turned their backs and pretended like nothing happened. I feel like there are many times we let the fear take over instead of letting God take over. He is the one who should control us not our emotions. If those people had said something or done something it would have saved my mom from continuously being hurt and it would of saved me from seeing it every night.

Thanx for sharing, levelmymindbyfaith22 (Long screenname!) I am so sorry your Mom was abused and that you saw it. I am sorry no one was bold enough to help her! Yes, too many people let fear lead them instead of God!

(I and my Mom know of verbal and emotional abuse when i was a child/teen from my biological father. I have since forgiven him. I still struggle with emotional issues, but God is good and He is healing and changing me. I love to encourage and challenge others in their relationship with the Lord.
