“Forever Changed”
To all you Christians, young and old,
and everything in between.
Christ following males and females
of all races and ethnicities.
I say to you: Don’t act like you haven’t been changed.
From shackles binding our spirits to sin
to the salvation of our souls.
Don’t you remember where God found you
when you had nowhere else to go?
But sin’s burden has been carried,
lifted from our weary backs
by the One who holds the universe
so we would lack nothing.
So I say to you: Don’t act like you haven’t been changed.
In Christ we’ve been given spirits of love
not fear nor timidity.
And we have been given a commission
to let His light shine for all to see.
So, to all you Christians—my sisters and brothers—
to everyone bound in Christ.
Just as God loves us, we must love one another
So every soul can taste eternal life.
Yes, to all of us Christians, I say: Act like you’ve been forever changed.
In Christ, surely you have been.
