A whirlwind arises from the earth to the sky
Debris from the chaos flies in my eyes
I hear in the howling a weak cry for help
The voice sounds familiar like one I know well.
Blind in a fury I crawl on my hands
feeling through rubble for someplace to stand
A thousand new voices start moaning at once
I can't find the person who's voice that I loved
Without any strength I fall on my face
Succumbing to destruction I wait for my fate
Then in an instant I'm surrounded by calm
The wind has died down in the eye of the storm
A voice from above says "rise up and stand"
"you are not alone, you are part of my plan"
"I will send you to help so don't be afraid."
"some you can't help the rest you can save."
"I know it seems hard but that's what you got."
"Don't try to understand, it's part of my plot."
"Just trust in my way and I'll fill you with hope."
"and when you need help just tug on this rope."
The whirlwind returned and I went on my way
But God as my witness everything's changed.
