Battling against the tides of inner turmoil
When peace has escaped and from your bounds it evade
An uncertain path surfaces,clouded with confusion
Dreams of better days have all become an illusion
The daunting task of thriving for the day
Becomes burdensome in all its ways
When living for the day becomes a struggle
Peace and joy are but memories concealed
Shrouded in the shadows of hardships
When instead of healing, time worsens the wounds
Despair and anguish establish themselves
A broken soul cries out to the Most High
With hope so faint yet it's hard to kill
In deep despair, a silent weep, a folding of the hands and humbled being
Praying and crying into the presence of God, hoping the echoes of his heart were not in vain
The appointed time salvation has come, the Lord has been let in and a soul has been cleansed
In life there will be tragedies and misfortunes but hope is never lost, although seemingly frail and weak, hope is hard to kill
