Darkened sky, frozen place
will nothing stay this fall from grace,
Echoes from a promise made
like the promise, soon will fade,
This soul is tired, weak and weary
searching for a place less dreary,
Where anguishes and deep regret
can feel the touch of respite met,
So lift me up and carry me
take me where the soul is free,
Then lay me down afield to sleep
where grasses bend and south winds sweep,
Where I can gaze up at the stars....and dream
