Purity is a beauty that has sadly become lost,
foolish minds not pondering the ultimate cost.
For why desire the things that cannot give life,
but cause only sorrow, emptiness, and strife?
The opposite of purity is an ugly face of evil that kills,
Those who look upon it are enslaved by it's alluring will.
Christ sets free those who have gone down that road,
releasing the burden, taking all of the heavy load.
Opening the eyes of the bind and restoring their souls,
have you not heard, do you not know?
One man 2000 years ago endured so much for us,
His life given over into His Father's trust.
He was perfect, no flaws, no evil, and no sin,
He died on the cross to forgive us and bring us in.
Into a place where lies no longer prevail and destroy,
Jesus oh how we need so much of your joy!
Keep us Lord in that abiding place where evil cannot live,
changing our hearts daily, for our hearts we do freely give.
Every morning we arise our lips shall declare of your love,
the gift of salvation, it came down from above!!
