I searched the shadows,
I lurched in the behind times,
I looked for meaning,
in patented dreams.

Seeing self I tried to console,
what I couldn't reach,
my lost heart,
and broken marrow.

Hearing nothing I listened,
seeing nothing I looked.

Lost. Forgotten. Without Hope.

A painful light hit me,
I recoiled away.

Searching I stepped forward,
into it's newness.

What I was looking for,
was something I couldn't see.

I waited for other,
yet it took me

and in surprise I found joy
in the last place I would have looked

In my heart.
