Unable to pass through
the crowd.
Held back as captive
in the prison bars of sin.
But by his word
I am free from the chains
that held me bound
to sin.
So what will I say
of this cell.
What sin has
created as a life of hell.
By the law my deeds
are worthy of death.
But by God's grace
I am free.
From the bondage of sin
and death.
He will hear my cause.
Death where is your sting?
He will be like the breaking
forth of waters.
Jesus has overcome
sin and death.
He will cause flowers
to spring up
and waters to gush
out of the rocks.
He will turn our
deserts into a well-watered
spring.
He will turn our mourning
into joy.
And our hearts
will leap within us.
And he will recompense
our righteousness
that he righteously spent
and ment for us.
To cover us and cleanse us
from our sins.
