We have all received a calling from the Most High God. we all that are His children and are called by His Name. And until we discover this calling and work inline with it, we may never find true fulfillment or acheive anything of worth in this life. For me i believe it is wisdom for a man to set himself apart for the purpose of seeking out God's plans and purposes for his life. There's no need beating around the bush or building one's future on what others are doing or pursuing, it would only make one a follower all through life and never a master at anything.
I know God's plan for my life. That's why am confident about life and where i am going to, no matter how pleasant someone else's plans or purpose may sound i am never enticed because i just know that's not my direction and there's no need wishing i could follow that same direction or even start walking towards it. The things i want to do now are the things that fall in line with God's purpose and plan for my life. Not my plan or desire.
Now talking about "Desire" you should know this. Desire is very powerful and because of its power it is also very deceptive. When you desire a thing you may feel there's no way you can exist without it or can be satisfied without it. That's not true. It is only because you strongly desire that particular thing that's why you are feeling so. At the end of the day if you are able to get ride of it, you will discover that you were even way better than that particular thing you desired.
But how does desire come? It is birthed out of interest. It starts with just a little interest and as your interest in that particular thing starts increasing, desire also starts forming and before you know it, you are so into it that you cannot imagine living without fulfilling or doing that particular thing. Let's check our lives and see if there's any desire that just fell upon us. It all started with just an interest.
Now desire is good because it gives us alot of energy. We take pleasure doing that which we strongly desire. So desire in itself is not a bad thing. Interest also is a good thing because that's how our desires come and grow. So the both of them are not bad at all. Then what's my point?
This is the point i am trying to make. Instead of having interest in something that is not God's will for our lives which will lead to desire @ the end of the day, is it not wisdom for us to sit down and ask God that which we need to be interested in that is "His Will" so that we can have desire for God's plan and purpose for our lives? i think it is wisdom to do so because when you go ahead of God you suffer and when you stay behind when God has left, you suffer also. You are only guaranteed success, peace and fulfillment only when you go with Him.
Most of us are scared of going with Him because of the lifestlye we are still leading. It is only when we are ready to put those things we know are not pleasing in His sight that we are still doing and starts seeking after His face that God truly gets us into His perfect will for our lives.
We are in an era when only those that have a viable relationship with God will shine as the brightness of the sun. Those whose relationship with God is no longer as God would want it to be would fall behind completely and when they do it becomes impossible to renew them back to the faith. That's automatic hell. I dont pray that for anybody because it is better for someone not to know The LORD at all than for him to know Him and fall away. The pain and purnishment would be too much to bear. Even though i don't pray this for any man i still know that it is inevitable if we do not put aside those things that slow us down or are distracting us from pursuing after God. Wisdom demands that every child of God be wise in their dealings with God and this world. Remember friendship with the world is enmity with God.
Any child of God that cannot boldly or confidently say this is what The Lord has called me to do or this is His will and purpose for my life is still very much lacking behind and is still walking in the part of failure, frustration and depression. Note that God's call is not limited to the five fold ministry that is, the Pastor, Teacher Apostles and the rest. God still calls people to be business men, musicians and so many other things. God's call touches every aspect of life. The question is where have you been called to? Can you confidently answer this question? You should know His calling for your life and start working towards it. That's the way you can truly succeed. Every other part leads to earthly and eternal failure and loss no matter how successful it may appear to be.
In conclusion, my parting word would be: It's time to seek after God's plan and purpose for our lives. There's no need shadow boxing or chasing after that which is outside God's plans and purpose for our lives. Dont die stranded because going against God's will can make you stranded and until you retrace your step back to God's purpose, you may never find JOY or even come close to being successful.
