I think that I'm standing
And then I can't move
This must be the place
I wait upon you.
I'm realizing now
your helping me stand
I see I was crawling
Again to your hands.
each joint is so stiff
Each inch like a groove
my need to lean
Steadfast upon you .
My weight upon you
a pillar of strength
my back in your chest
You comfort this place
You whisper your word
Straight into my ear
"Its okay to rest"
I am right here.
I feel like a cripple
I feel like a crook
My place did you take
So I could go look
to love as you love
To speak as you speak
Please make me strong
Because I am so weak
this place is so new
So foreign to me
Things unrecognizeable
Seems so far to reach..
please take my hand
So I will not fall
Please use my legs

So many times you've helped me stand

Their wind in my face
it throws me off balance
