SUICIDE

To murder one's own body
Is to seal eternal death
To take your life by your own hand
And cut off your own breath.

For many say of suicide
'A brave act it does seem'
But a tragedy is this way out
From things that, might have been.

For to those that suicide
It brings them but a curse
Compared to the troubles they left behind
Their state is now far worse.

'cause choosing death instead of life
In Christ who rose to save;
The only portion they have left
Is the rotteness of the grave.

John 3:16

AN EARLY CHURCH WRITING

SUICIDE....'If a murderer is guilty because he is a destroyer of man, he who kills himself is under the same guilt. For he also kills a man. In fact his crime can be considered the greater, for the punishment of it belongs to God alone. We did not come into this life of our own accord. Therefore, we can withdraw from this habitation of the body.....only by the command of Him who placed us in this body. We are to inhabit it until He orders us to depart from it.' Lactantius c. 304 - 313

While suicide seems easy way out to the one who feels like taking their life,
we know it takes so many with them. By that I mean, the ones left behind.
I am sure many here have known someone who has lost someone to suicide.
The main question is always .... "WHY?" The mother, sibling, friend or co-
worker always say, " I could have stopped him or her." It has been said
also, suicide, is a selfish thing to do. If only that person really knew what pain
and agony they have caused the living, and if they are in their right mind, maybe
just maybe, they would think twice. We don't always see the suicidal tendency
in people. May the Lord look upon the person who is thinking it is the way out,
and save them from destruction. The poem is right on the mark. ~

Has anyone here heard of the type of organized bullying called gangstalking where a lot of people feel it is so hopeless they commit suicide?

A follower of Christ won't go to hell if they commit suicide.

I'm sorry but I don't agree with this post.
Rejection of Christ is the only way to seal eternal death.

And yes, there are certain mental illness that people suffer from that cause many of them to take their own lives even while being covered by the blood of Jesus.

If you can provide clear evidence that christians who murder themselves do indeed go to hell I would gladly change my stance on this subject.

I wonder, about Judas. He went out and hung himself. I
always assumed he went to hell. That is a whole different
topic isn't it? Just thinking out loud.

Judas was LOST....he went to 'his own place'..and shall appear again..for as Yeshua said of him..' I have chosen you twelve and one of you is a devil'..thus we await the coming of the Son of perdition...the man of sin.

I beg to differ. I suffer from clinical depression due to menustral problems. There have been several times in my walk with Christ where I've almost comited suicide.

I also have a friend who suffers suffers from severe bipolar disorder. He's a christian and loves The Lord and follows him as best as he can. Several times in his life he's been comited to mental hospitals and on suicide watch.

You need to be careful sir! I say this in the most loving way.
You sound VERY condemning and judgemental of people who have mental problems. There ARE such things as chemical imbalances.

I suggest you pray about this as it's very dangerous to assume Christians can't have mental problems. The brain is an organ affected by the curse of death and decay.

Shame on you!

Honestly, he killed himself with so much remourse and guilt that was overwhelming that I really do believe he is in heaven. I hold to this belief so tightly.

Wrong on so many levels. David had bipolar, Saul was depressed, Judas suffered from guilt, Cain a jeolusy that took him over to murder (sociopath) many could say Paul had hallucinations...I could go on.

Id love to see your biblical backing for these beliefs that christians done suffer from mental illness nor attempt suicide but I am sure you have none.
