The right wrongs and the wrong rights have been on our mind
It doesn't matter who or what they are, they're there all the time
From the letter a to the letter z,
it's about them, about you, about me
We break them, fake them, hate them, make them and take them you see.
With them, with you, with me, or without, we don't really know
It's hard to live a life while always pondering and worrying so
If I do, if I don't, if I will, if I won't, oh the pressures, the strain
Am I happy, am I sad, am I good, am I bad, it boggles the brain.
People, sides, and turns, past, present, and future to come
Will I live, will I die, will I go to pieces, will I survive a rerun
Found them and lost them, lost them and found them once more
Do I crawl out the upstairs window, do I walk out the front door.
Do we stop to smell the roses, or crush them beneath our feet.
Sit on a bench in the shade or not, because we'll cut down a tree
Drink the water made because filth flows up and down the streams
Breath the air filtered because the factories throw dust on our dreams.
What could be, and should be, and would be, if we but wanted
Is going, going, gone, or else it's standing there haunted
An empty heart, a mind, a soul, and body, wanting to shout
Not showing it, we were hiding it, but we cried out loud.
he signs and the stars, the boards and the cards, said go this way
But with rabbits feet, lucky charms, and horseshoes, we stay
The blood, sweat and tears pour freely from our watery eyes
As we wonder if we've been living truths, or have we been living lies.
The right wrongs and the wrong rights have been on our mind
It doesn't matter who or what they are, they're there all the time
